Couldn't be happier, out of the 4 Eliza was clearly the best character to win. Great design and cool concept.

Sure; but your best shot is putting Annie as first choice and hope for the best. You still put Umbrella or however you want as 2, but your first choice needs to be the character you WANT the most.
Put Annie as number one in every vote and you can put Beowulf as number 2 if you want; Annie Team only cares about your top choice.

It was over for her the moment she lost this poll.I actually hold the opposite view. I think the overexposure and all the salt that started concentrating when the top four was announced is really gonna hurt the chances of the remaining four - less people are going to be as invested as seeing them reach the top simply because a lot of people are just gonna be exhausted over it all. Meanwhile, lots of dark horses are starting to emerge after the fact and particularly for characters with campaigners as active as Annie's, a lot of that momentum will start to stagnate. I want to believe. But it's harder every day.

Oh I agree, the first vote should be for the character you want the most. It also depends on how they decide to weight votes.
Let's say you have a choice 1, a choice 2, and a choice 3.
If choice 1 is weighted as 30 votes, and choice 2 and 3 are 29 and 28, this has a massive effect on the vote.
However, if each of your choices is divided by a factor of two, (30 votes, 15, 8), then your first vote matters more and your second and third vote matter less, but can still be pivotal.
At this point, it depends on how they decide to weight their system.
Plurality votes are simpler, but they don't really say much about your voters or their preferences.
Not really. There can only be one. Do the right thing, vote for Beowulf! And have Annie as number two if you want, in case Beowulf loses.
I feel that Annie is one of the more likely characters to appear again if SG ever has another expansion, Beowulf not so much.

If his supporters hadn't gotten so complacent, he'd have swept the first vote with a 3:1 female:male split. But they were, and so Beowulf lost his guarantee.
Couldn't be more doubtful, especially with the new voting system. It's much easier for a character like Beowulf to make it through in a plurality system, it will be far more difficult in a weighted system.

Boo, hiss etc. My least favourite of the top 8 won. I'm salty.
It's really not about being complacent. It's simply that in a popular vote he can't win. But, a popular vote is far easier to win than a weighted vote. Minette and Annie (and Eliza before she won) have dedicated voters, it's clear that Beowulf does not.

Yeah, it is seriously pretty weird. It is good that there is some minority representation in the game though. Then again, I'm not exactly sure what minority zombies fit into. Probably part of The Walking Dead coalition.

Eliza was my third favorite this round, but I'm still happy she won. She sounds awesome, honestly.

I'm very slightly bummed that Minette didn't quite make it all the way, but Eliza was my second choice out of the Top 4. Good for her! I also had a feeling that Annie wouldn't win in spite of the fan art tsunami she received, so I guess I called that at least.
Also on the bright side for everyone else that didn't get their pick for this round chosen, I think this can only mean good things for their chances in the sequel. Annie's practically a lock for Skullgirls 2 at this point, and I feel like Minette's now-proven popularity makes her at least a high contender for post-release DLC next time around. Aeon, well... they'll probably wait on Aeon. But I'm okay with that.

Getting Eliza into the game kinda makes me want to vote for Minette even more, to get some truly "good" people into this game. Not a big overall deal, but I'd love to play someone in the game who doesn't have to be various shades of Gray or Pitch Black.
Since even the official art tonight gave Eliza some inflated baloons, I have to say... I kinda hope this isn't a big deal trait of hers. Leave that to D.Violet or Venus (HA!)
