Yup. With no signs of a patch ever actually happening (hi dahbomb) and Chris continuing to just run trains on people it's significantly killed my interest in the game. If Evo comes and goes and people still haven't figured out anti-Chris tech and he's just continuing to dominate that'll about wrap it up for me for Marvel hype. The side drama certainly doesn't help either. I'm not gonna lie, I like drama, but not potsplit and homophobic slur drama.

Yeah, I meant just for Marvel specifically. I'm getting more into AE lately, especially since Capcom actually at least puts on the appearance of caring about that game.
Top 8 has Magneto, Doom, Hulk, Sentinel, Phoenix, Wolverine, Vergil, Wesker, Haggar, Dormammu, Frank West, Spencer, Amaterasu.
So that's like 13 characters right there in one top 8 and still missing a bunch of other really good characters like Zero, Viper, Strider, Dante, Nova etc. The problem is that almost everyone has Doom on their team which kills the meta game.
Top 8 has half the teams with Doom on them.
Yeah, really. I'm more just a spectator now, as I suck at the game, and it's hard to keep interest in watching.
Hidden Missiles is a scourge that warps the metagame around it. (Along with TAC infinites.)

started when Balrog was beating ChrisG at AE, then Chris asked him something and Balrog answered, and Chris came back and took the set. Same thing happened in at least one Marvel match

I think SFxT and Injustice are both fun to watch and play. People just love hating and trolling.

Just personal taste really. I didn't enjoy playing or watching vanilla, and the 2013 update hasn't done anything for me as far spectating goes. The game does seem to be much better to play though

You are not a fighting game until you are hated. Injustice still has a week to go.

It's taken time to break people out of their very, very bad habits from SFxT Vanilla. (All Defense Gems, picking teams with zero burst damage potential.)
I think the Doom thing is really my biggest issue with me losing interest in Marvel.
Even the Morrigan stuff wouldn't be that bad if she felt volunerable but she doesn't because of Missles, and combine that with it just running my entire mood when I see Doom get a trade with Foot Dive and still get a OTD kill combo out of it and I just can't stand the character.
