Sony E3 press conference; June 10th 6PM PT/9PM ET

I'm preparing for disappointment by assuming the PS4 Final Fantasy title reveal will go something like:

"We're very excited to show you our next generation Final Fantasy title. This title has been years in the making and we know you have been anticipating it. Our sincerest apologies about the delay, this project was massive, we faced many challenges during development. Our teams worked hard to totally rebuild the game from the ground up. Please be excited for FF14:A Realm Reborn launching alongside PS4 this holiday season!"

FF14 is already confirmed for PS4 (indirectly)

On the one hand, I would really love something like this to happen, just to see the reaction. On the other hand, it would be sad.

I'm pretty sure they're going to do this and then follow up with a "but that's not all" and show a new game.

I hope they finally have been humbled by their past few years but I'm not holding my breath given the absolutely nuts sales expectations they have for everything they publish.

Random prediction: Sony is going to use the song Heart Shaped Box to advertise PS4 this year. Not by Nirvana, but another band covering the song.

The best way for Square , in my opinion, is work together with Sony. They must relaunch Final Fantasy brand with good games and not with spin off or something else.

i do have ask ,how many people in japan not on forums like this and even the west still care at this point that one (or 2 if you count TLG) of the game(s) that they bought their org. ps3 7 years ago for are being moved to ps4
I can understand people's frustration at that but i think the fanbase at large honestly don't care anymore on which console it launches as long as it does.
 
If Sony folk really are viewing these threads, can someone at Sony publish Maximo 3 please?

Surely that could be a third party moneyhat?

Got the *cough* sick time* *cough* saved up ready to use, let my gf know that I will be lounged out in the Hex cave with the the rum, the cider, the Zapps and whatever food source I decide to order from take out earlier in the day and for better or for worse be plugged into GAF for the glorious highs or the screeching lows.

Doubt all the negative leaks like always-online DRM have helped hype people on the next XBox, at least not in enthusiast online spheres like GAF.
 
Well Sony did a good job leading up to the conference as well.

The Playstation memories by looking back at the previous Playstation consoles and their impact. Not to mention GT Planet did its own thing and pretty much everyone hyping it up for the reveal of next gen stuff. Microsoft is simply late to the party.

Bad rumors don't help even though there are counters for those rumors out already.

One of the most unexpected moments for me in Tropic Thunder.

What was funnier is that a lot of people didn't realize who the actor was till the end of the movie when the credits showed up (I knew pretty much as soon as I saw him, took a few seconds). People were like "wait.. what!?"
