Something will leak but I think they'll keep most of it under wraps until the event. Whether we get any big leaks between the event next week and E3... i'd consider that likely. Once MS finally come out in the open I wonder if the floodgates will open.

I don't think we'll have a 'blowout' but we'll probably see media assets.

This time in 360's life in we had a fully orchestrated reveal teaser... rumours about the logo and design of the box, abstract shots of trees from Kameo, close ups of bits of the controller and console.... they went to town on social / viral stuff.

That they have everything so locked down this time is really different.... they had a very deliberate drip-drip-drip of PR 'leaks' going on last time.

Guess they really don't want the competitors to know what is happening... no reason to hide it from customers.

they need to start some leaks to gain publicity for the reveal event

This week is some kind of Pre-E3 press briefing in LA. Do you think MS will show something there?

probably meetings with publishers and assetsharing for journalists to write articles and news items for content being presented at E3 or the MS reveal event. Strict NDA on everything. But they need access to content now to be able to release the news as content is being presented in realtime

It is definitely the best campaign since Halo 1. No question about that shit.

I've really enjoyed playing it again after finishing the forerunner saga.

While I have not yet posted in this thread, consider me hyped and curious about this Reveal fellow GAFfers, I honestly can't wait.

I've had two 360's the first one was an awesome Red Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition the other was the Slim version. I've became a huge Forza fan since Forza2, got the Limited Edition for Forza4 & Horizon and also got some Halo due the amazing soundtrack mostly.

However, I must be honest. I live in Europe and all the time I had my Xbox 360 when I look at what people get and I don't even if I paid for Live is sad. I really hope they can show more interest in most of the countries in Europe. It is known that Sony does a much better job at supporting Europe, just look at PS Plus in here. It's a great service. If they show more interest I can see them really selling more in here. Last December I was on a meeting the Product Manager in MIcrosoft HQ in here as well the Marketing Manager and they wish they could have more ways to fund their Marketing and Products & Services but the lack of them is what punishes when people ask "why do I pay live for, Online play only?"

As a consumer I hope we can have the best of the two products, I don't care for console wars, only good games. More Forza, PGR, Alan Wake 2 are things that interest me but may not be reason enough for me to get the new Xbox because I'll be getting the PS4 first. Only later I can decide if or when I will get the new Xbox.

Anyway... HYPE!

Nobody is going to bankroll a proper full-on Shenmue sequel now. Even on internet forums there isn't much interest in another game.

Because we all remember how Shenmue 2 saved the Xbox.

Shenmue 3 would set GAF on fire but the rest of the 99% of the game buying population won't give a shit. Respawn v Shenmue, despite the hardcore's sentiments would be Respawn in a landslide.

I am crazy hyped for the Nextbox...please, stamp my avatar, I shall wear it with pride.

I just refuse to believe MS don't understand what their hardcore audience wants. I know they've put more of a focus on Kinect and their core franchises the last couple of years, but they've done well in the past, and I think they'll do well again.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the evolution of Xbox Live - I've been a member for over 10 years now. And I feel that it has been worth every penny.

Oh yeah, definitely my favourite game of the Xbox1 generation. And it works perfectly with the 360 BC by the way. Such a simple but perfectly designed game, the only thing missing was an online mode indeed.

Probably not. I think they only get shown E3 demos early and even then they don't have to be shown everything.
