It's a console *reveal*. It would be stupid to not reveal it imo. It would be doubly stupid given Larry's mocking of Sony.(Larry Hyrb, not Larry David)

I reckon the FIRST thing we will see is a montage video that will show the console and controller.
E3 will show more games, there will be a few demo'd at the reveal though, I'm not expecting more than 5 games.

Of course, it's right up there with games in terms of what I want from a console.
I haven't upgraded to a smart-phone because I didn't want to be connected, and Android/ios didn't look as exciting as I wanted it to be. WP8 looks to be completely different, and exactly what I want in a little touch-based computer. Not to mention the Lumia's are some of the most beautiful looking pieces of tech out there.
This is a cop-out, but I think it'll be in ways we never even thought of or expected, in a good way.
Do we know how long the event is? I think they will show more than 5 games for sure. At least few as teasers at least to get people pumped up for a big E3 reveal.
I think not showing hardware has it's advantages as well as disadvantages. A lot of mainstream media mocked sony for not showing the system at the time. So yeah I think you are right and they might start off with showing off the system as well

They'll show the hardware. Larry generally doesn't tweet anything, joke or not, that's not in line with MS policy.
Also Sony did get some flack for their reveal that never was. MS won't follow suit.
E3 is only 4 weeks away so there would be no point in not showing it now.

The video is funny, but in the game, some orbs requires you get higher skills. At the beginning you are slow and can't jump high.

is like the ferrari f1 team call for a conference and then when all the ppl r there ...show just the steering wheel..and talk about the engine ..the electronics etc etc .....just ridiculous (IMO)
i could understand this if they was in "late" ...and ms already showed something......but being first ...just "talking about a future thing"....isnt being first............im sure ferrari engineers could talk as well of their 2015 f1 car

I'm guessing some will be teasers in hopes we talk about them and the mystery behind what they are until E3. I expect at least one big shocker and some will think it's not running in real time. Battlefield 4 is one unveiling I think we'll see and it will have the longest showing.
Most of the show on the 21st will be about the system, not the games.

yeah I think in the case of Sony there was an advantage to such an approach since they did it in February. But yes Spongebob makes a good point that since E3 is so close it won't really matter.

I love those long sprawling sony conferences. Maybe it's the sony fanboy in me, but I really enjoy that lengthy style of conference. Completely understand why people wouldn't though.

The Sony conference was entertaining, but the same info definitely could have been communicated quicker. It would have meant I watched the entire thing when it aired if it was.
But I still liked what I saw.
One is with Major Nelson on twitch talking games the other is a one hour post show with Gametrailers interviewing Matrick and developers on the new Xbox.

I don't expect many games at the reveal with E3 so close. That said, I just watched their E3 2005 conference this afternoon, it was 80 minutes long with 5-10 minutes dedicated to the first Xbox, and they still managed to squeeze in more than a dozen games. As I already said, I don't expect many game reveals on the 21st, but those worried that 60 minutes won't be enough really shouldn't be.
