there's been a lot of weird level stuff when it comes to demons, so it'll be interesting to see just what's up.
Its probably just a debug mode to make sure they get good looking footage instead of footage of someone getting their asses kicked

Maybe it will be better in the game, but the stuff in that trailer is awful. And having voice acting in a main SMT game feels kinda wrong

Seiryu's voice sounds pretty great. SH had solid voiceover, so I'm not worried.

I'm playing Nocturne for the first time in preparation for SMTIV
yeah I know they're not totally related.... I think?
I have close to 4 hours now. I'm loving it so far, no bs yet.
I have a feeling they will be, considering that (Nocturne antagonist)
Lucifer's in both.
Let me tell you how much I'm enjoying silent Soul Hackers right now XD Just sucks that I need to not watch all the English trailers ^^; Though from the sounds of opinions in here that seems best XD

Isn't it just an arrangement of Tsukasa Masuko's work? Hopefully they do a good arrangement of Nocturne's battle theme too, with 100 tracks there are probably quite a few.

I'm in Chapter 7 of Raidou 2 right now and
I'm not really sure what/who Louis is. Dahn gave his name away and he seems to 'know too much' but otherwise he's still a mystery. What other appearances does he have in SMT?

oh my goodness.
he's just... a friend. in general he appears/acts in a similar capacity in other smt games, but i wouldn't worry too much about it. he's just this guy, you know?
He dresses well anyway.
EDIT:
I went ahead and spoiled myself. Having literally just finished Strange Journey, I knew Louis obviously had some connection to Louisa but even in that game she was just this mysterious cryptic person. I didn't realize that the person in Nocturne was also the same. hah now I feel like a goof.

Yep, it's become something of a running gag, Lucifer's aliases. He was a gentleman in a suit in SMT1&2, then an old man/young boy in Nocturne, a young man in Raidou 2, and Louisa Ferre in SJ.
He hasn't really DONE anything of note since Nocturne, just rambled on about 'sparks' and such.

For North America, yes.
Don't see why not, it was possible in Soul Hackers, though I have to wonder if it will only shut off the main characters talking, or all actual voices [apparently the demons talk or something now too, lol]

Also I'm replaying Nocturne now on NG+ Hard mode. I just got back my awesome Metatron, Beelzebub, and Daisoujou but I feel like I'm trivializing my game with them :x Might just ignore them till the last dungeon.

Rewatched the old Nintendo Direct trailer.
Theres a scene where there are white feathers dropping from the sky. The group look up. All had an astonished face cept for Jonathan who was smiling.
white feathers = angels.
More evidence Jonathan = law hero
Any more evidence and he may as well be wearing Messian robes and a silly hat.

Are the mainline SMTs as long as the Persona games? I played P3 FES and the slow pacing was killing me, Soul Hackers on the other hand has been quite enjoyable. Which is more similar to SMT IV?

Soul Hackers basically has mainline SMT gameplay, but is a little more forgiving.

Soul Hackers. FES drags because of the social events. Core SMTs are all dungeon crawling and minimalist plot, (somewhat) like SH. SH has more dialogue, even.

Really? As my first Megaten I found it a bit though to get into at first, now I understand the core concepts a little better. Guess it should be good preparation for SMT IV then.
Wish it wasn't priced at $50 though.

.I remember having an Uzume with Media and some other demon with Fog Breath. I don't recall what level I was to beat him.
Uzume is lvl 18! I have to grind now.
Don't think there's a Fountain of Life or a Terminal near the sewers.... ahhhh. Nearest Terminal is at Harumi Warehouse, that's basically the start of the underpass -_-
Get to lvl 18, fuse Uzume (Jack Frost + Angel. Recruit Jack in Ginza and Angel in the world map.), win. Uzume knows Media which goes a long way. Also buffs and debuffs are both equal in usefulness more or less. If you have a Preta, Fog Breath is useful even if he has Dekunda.
Btw this is separate, but I don't know if you know this...NEVER get rid of your starting Pixie. You can fuse it or evolve it but make sure you never get rid of it. And don't hand it to the dude later on in the game that needs a demon for the mine. Not even getting a copy from the Compendium. You need it for a special door in the Labyrinth of Amala. And note: Pixie (or whatever you fused it into) will always be at the very top of your party in the menu.
Edit: There is a Terminal in the Underpass.
IF you did get rid of pixie, it's ok though.
I went through the game and the dungeon fine without that extra.

And yeah the closest other Terminal is the one near the Junk Shop which it seems you've been at. Kind of a long trek to Matador from there but if you know the way it's not too bad :x
It should be the other side of the junk shop I think
