I'm watching Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs right now and just passed the burger scene and all I really want now is a huge stack of cheeseburgers.

What is it about animated food that looks so much more filling and fantastic than our own real food?

Do you have any foods from cartoons you wish were real and would eat in a heart beat?

I want to try some of these clouds Goku is eating

And a table of food he's notorious for eating all by himself

nothing has ever looked as delicious as the imaginary food in hook. not that it's a cartoon, but fictional food is always the best looking.

In the case of Ratatouille, they took the time to model the kitchen and dishes from the French Laundry. The final signature dish was based off of something Thomas Keller made:

The title dish which the movie’s rat hero Remy and his human assistant Linguini make is actually one that was served in the French Laundry. And, according to somebody who should know, Remy as a chef was wholly Keller-esque.

Zak Pelaccio, who before launching his career as global meatmonger was the saucier at the French Laundry, saw the movie with his prodigal 4-year-old son Hudson this weekend, and says that Remy was, in soul if not in form, totally true to his model Keller.

I think in the case of Land Before Time it's the way they eat that looks so awesome. Over zealous and huge friggin bites.

Yea the Ratatouille food looks awesome as well. I was thinking of watching it after Cloudy.

I think it's because animators always have an excuse to order food, oh I need some reference material.

Lets not forget the peach from James and the Giant Peach.

Good call guys, I could have posted more if I wasnt stuck on my phone.

I will say I definitely prefer the style of Japanese food compared to American. It might be the steam lines.

Chicken and turkey legs always look particularly good. Looks like they are made of all white meat or something.

Wallace and Gromit as a kid with their cheese and crackers, good lord.

All of these!

I love food porn in movies in general.

There's a ton of asian movies where all of the stories revolves around cooking competitions, oh man. I think I'm going to watch one tonight.
