Yeah, but Microsoft would be stupid if they didn't have a Halo announced / released alongside the new Xbox. Halo 2 Anniversary anyone? Probably.

I doubt we'll see a Halo 5, but definitely a H2A, or even something small like ODST by tomorrow, or at least E3.

It will never die. It should be on a hiatus though until next year and come out with Halo 2 anniversary followed by a new Halo in 2015. That's enough time to let it die.

If we get another Halo this year it will be a spin-off, and perhaps drastically different from the normal Halo formula.

No seriously, I'm up for that as long as it's a Halo spin-off. But, I very much doubt we will see another Halo game, spin-off or not, this year. Maybe next year we'll get an anniversary edition or spin-off but they're probably not going to show anything of the sorts until at least E3. We'll probably see less than a hand full of games and most I probably don't personally care about, like the rumored racing game. The others will probably be games we already know about or saw something of at the PS4 talk like Destiny.

Ah, yeah the SP was panned and rightfully so. It wasn't very good in comparison to the first game and didn't match the expectations people had after the now infamous E3 demo.
