Love it or hate it kind of game, imo. I've spent 200+ hours on it, but know people who've tried to play it and just can't get into it. Depends on how okay you are with grinding to an extent.

Well, I'm definitely getting Luigi at some point. Not sure about Smash. Kinda want the Wii U version, but handheld Smasg also sounds amazing. Will have to know more about the game before I decide (or get both)

I dunno if it's fixed in NL, I hope it is, but in WW you could use Action Replay or something, and place a lot of town halls and other buildings in someone's town, which would make the game refuse to load when you boot it up.
So people should be careful until we're sure there's no possible shady business like this. I think GAFfers will be okay though.
Yeah, great site. I remember it from way back when I got the GC version and we had to trade using codes. Pretty fun to look back at it as everything is retained.

I don't think that's possible on ACNL yet since the 3DS hasn't been hacked. But since the DS had already been hacked and there were Action Replays out there for anyone to purchase there were ways one could render the game's cart completely unusable.

It is so much love-it-or-hate-it. If you like single-player MMO ambience (even when you're grouped the game has a very "single-player MMO" feel, like FFXII) extremely single-minded objectives and micromanagement taken to the extreme (to the extent that you'll probably switch weapons and playstyle during fights) you'll love it. Don't buy it if you like variety, a pick-up-and-play game or want a deep, engaging story though.

With the 3DS being more open to updates and your own saves, hopefully it will be easier to avoid if it's ever possible. It will be nice to play before any hacking sets in.

To help distinguish long-timers from drive-by ne'er-do-wells.
Because like in the Buy/Sell/Trade thread, if a member fuck up another's town, we can use it as a label of caution for new members "rejoining" under a different alias to keep this up. Older members or the dedicated have less reasons to really to trash their own alias here.
If anything Goli... the fuck ups with the spreadsheet should be a HUGE warning to you by now.
