What? No.

You buy the 3DS XL with Animal Crossing preinstalled. You want to use that 3DS.

You transfer your stuff from your old 3DS to the new one and swap the SD cards.

Your new 3DS is basically like your old one now, but the copy of Animal Crossing has been deleted as the transfer wipes the data first. You now have to redownload it and you're good.

The old 3DS has been wiped so your account is on the new one.

Haha... I took off the inside plastic so I can easily see them but they make great speaker stands. Plus I don't have to dust them that way. But I do love those. You can't see it from that photo but I also have a talking Victini made by Tomy next to Luke. Isabelle will end up somewhere around there too.

Nah. You risk them moving away though and you'll get weeds.

But depending on how attached you are to that villager... it is like they've died. To you.

And watch out for the taunts from people you know whose town they moved to. The gloating makes it sting even more.

The town will be covered in weeds. In the old games there was a secret ghost that could pick all your weeds, I'm guessing this time around there will be a mayorly option to pay someone to clean them up, otherwise its tedious, but the alternative is only to have a lower town beauty ranking. Also your hair may become scraggy, and every person in the town will make a big deal about not seeing you in so long.
