On rewatching, X does look properly good and I've never played a game like that before.

Extra hype added.

Don't suppose my poorly sized and fuzzy avatar could be added to the picture?

Here's what I think will be shown off

*Wii U price drop and/or new SKUs with more memory

*Release dates for all currently known Wii U games. This includes, but is not limited to, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Reborn, Yoshi Yarn, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U and Project X.

*A look at upcoming third party multiplats, including the confirmation of some speculated ones. These include Disney Infinity, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, Deus Ex Human Revolution, and Batman: Arkham Origins. I think they will probably confirm Call of Duty Ghosts for the system, along with a Wii U version of Grand Theft Auto V as well. Based on the leaked Miiverse list, a Metal Gear Solid game for the Wii U should probably be expected.

*First look at new first party games: I expect an in depth look at the new 3D Mario, the new Mario Kart, the new Legend of Zelda, and the new Super Smash Bros. as well. There might be more franchise announcements for Wii U, such as Kirby and Donkey Kong. Nintendo might choose to revive some dormant fan favorite IPs like F-Zero and Metroid Prime, although I don't have hope for either at this point (and if there is a new F-Zero, it is almost certainly 3DS exclusive).

* NEW IPs: So, Project X for sure. I'm also looking forward to Retro's new game, which I think will be a new IP catered to western tastes- it might be a Destiny like massively online persistent FPS, it might be something else, but I'm leaning towards the former.

*Exclusive Third Party Collaborations: An in depth look at Bayonetta 2, along with maybe the release date, as well as the first real look at Sonic: Lost World. Nintendo might announce a western release date for Dragon Quest X as well. A sequel to ZombiU has been rumored for a while, so maybe that as well (probably X360/PS3/Wii U multiplat though). There might be something else, something new entirely as well.

*Miscellaneous features and improvements, such as stability firmware updates, new features like folders, new apps and maybe improvements to the TVii service. Nintendo will use this Direct to try and make the Wii U look as appealing as possible, so everything is fair game. They might announce new colors, they might announce the sale of individual Wii U Pad controllers, it could be anything.

I don't think I'm being too ambitious, and I think all of that is well within the parameters of plausibility. What do you all think?

A new X trailer and the inclusion of Shulk in Smash would kill me. Actually, the X trailer will probably kill me before we even see Shulk.

We know these already since last Friday :)

I never apply my face to these hype trains because they usually become a wall of shame lol. I even hesitated to put this 'only on Nintendo' thing on my avatar. I know I shouldn't be afraid to dream a little bigger but darling I can't go through the heartache.

Im gonna make this more wider...

Then let us walk together *grabs hand*. Good Sirs, two tickets to the hype train please.

I can see Palutena being included in Smash. There's not really alot of females so far and Palutena would be a nice addition.

I know he's not a female, but Hades would be cool, too. Don't know how they'd go about resizing him though.

For some reason E3 and this Direct still felt like a long time away to me until this morning. Suddenly I am super hyped! Bring on Smash Bros, Retro and X!

(Add me to the hype train/machine/thingamajig! Can't ride it last year and not this year can I?)

Here's what I think will be shown off

Price drop is a possibility (249 basic, 299 deluxe), more memory I highly doubt it. NSMBU Deluxe unit could be shown, maybe a special Year Of Luigi WiiU with Super Luigi U.

Bayoneta 2 could be shown, maybe even a demo but I don't think they will tell a release date other than "2014".

SMTxFE, no news for this one I'm afraid.

Zelda U, same as SMTxFE, they will concentrate on Wind Waker and New Zelda

If X was shown for the vita you'd see 100 pages of people complaining about monster hunter cloning lol.

It doesn't resemble Monster Hunter at all. The only things that you could say are similar are the big monsters and the third person view. If anything, it reminds me of Xenogears, Xenosaga and Xenoblade.
