OMG. I just... realized something. Everyone can add their FC in their profile (in the wii section) and put their FRUIT icon on their avatar. That'd severely cut down SO much traffic in trying to find out who has what.

There's icons I need to upload.
That's a great idea, a little fruit next to the leaf would be cool.

i'm animal crossing retarded

can someone explain fruit to me

You can sell your native fruit in a town where it isn't native for a higher amount. So you can pick your own then sell it at other people's towns.

Or plant their fruit in your town and sell that for more.

Fairy type XL unite! That case seems good. Do you notice if dust or anything gets underneath? Does the hinge squeak?

Hehehe... I noticed the dust getting under the top ; ;

The upper edge (where it meets the white on the top) has a small opening. Those pesky dusts.

There's no squeaking when I open and shut the XL, and I open/close it a lot due to swapnoting a lot.

? how do you mean?

The Wii friend code section on GAF profile, I meant cause 3DS has 12 numbers as opposed to Wii's 16, so we should designate the first group as 0000 or something and then the 3DS number?
You can designate the number =P, seeing as you are keeping in check of all our details
Edit: 0000 in the last group it is =D

Yeah that dust means I'll just stick to using the club nintendo pouch. Thanks for the info!

I think the dust came from that pouch haha. Before I got the case, the dust/lint would get stuck on the corners of the decal. That annoyed me to no end. Having the case now puts my mind at ease more, and preserves the decal.

Fuck. Okay. It's like 6$. My clefairy needs protection.

Ahhhh, I finally found a nice concise info about the fruits.

http://bidoofcrossing.tumblr.com/post/39452493815/everything-you-need-to-know-about-fruit-bamboo

Native fruits are apples, oranges, pears, peaches or cherries. Getting one of these in your town's set trees fruit is random.

There's a set of Island fruits that you can access after you pay off your mortgage. The island itself have a native fruit which can be either Mango, Lychee, Durian or Lemon. You also have a Coconut or Banana palm trees.

Persimmons and Bamboo are sold from the Garden Store after the final upgrade.

To sell~
Native fruit: 100 bells
Foreign fruit: 500 bells
Island fruit: 250 bells
Island palm: 250 bells
Persimmons: 250 bells
Bamboo: 750 bells

Perfect native fruit will go for 600 bells and foreign for 3k!

So here are the nifty fruit icons that I wish EVERYONE in the thread to add to their avatar once they find out that's the fruit they're sticking with. It'll help a ton with the trades. There's no good icons for the Island Fruits but I imagine there'll be soon enough. :3

Oh ok. And you can just pick your native fruit at the start of the game or something?

and the above post answers my question, disregard.

will go for pear master race.

Perfect fruit?

You can farm perfect fruit from only your native fruit. It's basically rarer versions of your native fruit that sells for more. Planting fertilizer and whatnot can help you grow perfect, and you can replant them for more.

Perfect fruit trees rot though, so you have to keep replanting.

How the hell are some of you such excellent Swapnote drawers especially of AC characters...argh I wish I had artistic skills!

There's no time limit... so just take your time. :) All in practice and trust me... SwapNote hides the imperfections when drawing quite well.

Okay CrossingGAF. I'm off to do the dishes, make dinner... and go drown myself in Warcraft because the new patch dropped on Tuesday and I have not been able to touch it all week and I want my lore fix.

I'll be on my 3DS is you need me. You know... in case MetalGuardian starts up with his Ladies Against Silly Stuff group again. ;)

In the mean time... I have this song stuck in my head.

I tried to draw Bones in one of those Swapnote threads and I failed, so I just said BONES in huge letters and hoped my sentiment was communicated effectively.

Finally watching these videos...I'm kinda out of it, but do we have news of DLC arriving? Sorry, I'm finally settling down after a fairly crazy work week!

City Folk had a bunch of it—brand-new furniture, as I recall even an entire furniture series—so I'd expect the same or better here.

The DLC is all free right?

Nintendo literally said it would be unwholesome to charge for the DLC. So yes!!!

This game is going to be great. I'm back ona 3DS kick thanks to 999. Hopefully Animal Crossing comes in just as I finish 999 (yes I know it's technically a DS game).

Japan has been getting one or two DLC items (new furniture) a month. I suspect we'll get the backlog of what they got plus more...... hopefully.

Some of my favourites:

That's a surprising amount of DLC, I love the aurora screen.

Is it weird that I wanted them to charge monies for the DLC?

Nah, any other game and paid DLC would be a-okay. This game by its very nature is supposed to reward players for being patient. Where would the magic be if you could just buy your way into a beautiful living room with real money? Your Jingle Dresser would be devalued if you had to wake up at the crack of dawn to buy it from Jingle but your next-door neighbour paid real money to get it effortlessly.

The only way DLC would work is if they released huge expansion packs. $20-$30 for a brand new set of 1000 furnitures, or something like that.

You need the QR machine available to use at Able Sister's......... it's not open at the start. You need to befriend Sable which can take some time. (I hear around 2 weeks but I really don't know for sure)

Sorry guys.

Sorry guys.

Do you just have to try talking to her for a few days? Or do you need to design some clothes?

Never played one of these before, but for some reason am interested in this one now that I have a 3DS. Is there and end game to this stuff or is it just always maintaining?

Does the base game even have that much?

I would jump at good hairstyle/eye DLC given the fairly small initial selection.
