Wizardry 8 would be quite the catch, if that is what that image is implying.
I don't think the Gobliiins games hold up too great myself, I was never really able to get in to them when they released (I think I beat the demo though). They're not bad for the time, and stay within character, but unless you're looking to play a really rough trial and error type puzzle game, I don't think I'd recommend it. Maybe someone else who understood them more would be a better reference.
How is Unepic, any impressions?

After struggling with finding a good controls set up, I've been having a lot of fun with it. You'd think a game like that would be best played on a controller, but there's no good way to handle all the quickslots, and those are very handy for item/spell usage and weapon swapping. Ended up with an ESDF + numpad control setup since the game doesn't like me using WASD for some reason. How is Unepic, any impressions?

The dialog will be hit or miss depending on how serious of a game you're expecting. It's more of a parody of RPG tropes. The combat is simple - no combos or anything crazy, but you'll be switching between weapons and using a few spells to suit your situation.
For me so far, it's worth the price they're asking for. Should be able to play a demo version here if you're unsure about it.
I got it in a bundle. Like it a lot.
Has a reputation of being one of the best games to get ignored by Steam, although I haven't played it myself.
I think it may've been cut and dry, it was just a matter of whether the current holders cared to bother or not. Surprisingly and thankfully, they did.Oh, wow. I thought Wizardry was stuck in licensing hell. That's a pleasant surprise.
I definitely wouldn't replay it without such a fix, and am glad there is one.
I think I'll start with 6+7 after some research, does 8 outpace them so much that it's not worth bothering with them if I don't enjoy them?
This makes me sooo happy. And good to see they included the superior DOS Version of W7.Triple classic releases: Wizardry 6+7, and a separate Wizardy 8.

I wonder how far back they can go with Wizardry. Other than rights, aren't the first few games on PC booter discs? Never really looked into whether DOSBox can cope with them.

Got one a few pages back actually. This a pretty big catch. Might worth a thread or a title mention.

... And man, I didn't consider the graph paper thing, I got into EO partially because it kept that experience while using modern technology to have less crap to worry about. Wonder if there's a good app on tablets or something.
I agree. It's been a while since I played Wizardry 8, but besides it being a great game, I think I remember most the ridiculously difficult and tedious (one battle on top of the next) chore the turn based combat turns in to after a while. I definitely wouldn't replay it without such a fix, and am glad there is one.
Definitely interested if the "fix" works well! Game was awesome, but the constant battles...damn. Particularly since there weren't any safe zones! Even in towns you were consistently attacked. Annoying. Didn't really have the patience for it then and certainly don't now.
I've been trying to purchase Riddick Assault on Dark Athena for the last day or so but I can't make a single purchase with GOG. I've tried 3 different debit cards from 2 different banks and even my paypal account yet it always says my payment was declined. I have plenty of funds in all accounts. GOG is the only site I have this problem with. Anyone else ever have this problem with them?
Some banks block international transactions but Paypal should not have a problem if the funds are in your paypal account.

YES! Was close on ordering the disc version. Just joined GOG. DO I need to install the GOG downloader?
Oh, and am I able to play the GOG version of UT2k4 online? Are there still servers?
Yes, YMMV, yes and a few, respectively. Are Blood and Blood 2 are still worth playing?

Have you tried contacting them or posting on their forums about it? What about using PayPal? It says they accept it.If anyone wouldn't mind gifting me a copy of Riddick I can paypal you the cash or pick up something off another site for you? GOG just won't work with my bank.
If it makes anyone feel better about it, I've given a few games away on GAF and Steamgifts so I can promise that I'll pay up.
