wait, you are saying MS is getting out gaming message for XO a lot more than Sony with PS4?
really?
hah.
Shame will be brought. Not sure if names will be though aside from their username.I really hope bish delivers dat name and shame..
We note.

Hey, would anybody be interested in a thread where I detail some of the social agency email addresses that have come up during my offsite research into some of our more recently vocal members?
It's fascinating.
I asked about what we know, not what we interpret. We don't have hard fact on either side yet a ton of posts are written like we do
Here is a link from an e-mail I receive today from MS
http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/xboxone/how-it-games
I posted somewhere else, but they seem to be getting the message out to a lot more people than Sony. My Live account is expired, I am a PS+ member and haven't received squat from them about the PS4
Both boxes have games and additonal services, the bigger differentiator between the 2 will be the additional services which is what MS is banking on
The first thing you see on Xbox LIVE now is the Xbox One.

I said outside of gaming circles (people reading forums, gaming sites).
I received my 2nd e-mail today from them which means millions of people have as well
http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/xboxone/meet-xbox-one
The seed is already being planted, people will start talking about it
They have been just as active if not more on social media
It might not be the message you want to hear but lets not pretend they are sitting on their asses
I agree that Sony should be using the "HOME" screen on the PS3 to be advertising the PS4, but I really think they are waiting for E3.
So what you're saying is that MS are getting the message out to existing Xbox owners and no-one else.
First up, the PS4 looks like it will be host to a ton more 3rd party games than the Xbone, due to the way Sony have embraced indies and MS haven't. So it's not just 1st party games that will be exclusive, and not all 3rd party games will be on both.

I guess that means the 360 has a ton more exclusives than the PS3.
Sony might if they intend to do no DRM. It would be pretty huge.
Sounds like he's just pointing out the traditional trajectory of a console, where they start with early adopters/enthusiast gamers, and then broaden out to the more mainstream/casual audiences as times goes on. MS' plan seems to be to start appealing to both ends of the spectrum right from the start, with no softening of focus as is usually the case.
While Sony advertised PS4 in finals of CL, watched by 700 million people?
what is confusing me with this noDRM thing is that PS3 already has DRM implemented in every way possible (almost) and it was left to publishers to decide. I know everyone means for them to allow used games, but message is a bit confusing.
Sony practically started online passes.
I assuming thats probably why there is no clarification from them yet... if people asked them to have same drm as PS3, aka "change nothing", then we would likely know answers sooner than later.
One thing I was thought would happen this upcoming gen is that there would be fewer third party exclusive games. I starting to think I'm wrong, which sucks for all of us.It probably does.

lolololol
THe best thing about this is how it starts off so calm.
I admitted I was wrong on that front, I saw the ad and mentioned it to my non gaming buddies but I was totally shitfaced because you need to be to watch soccer as it is quite literally the most boring sport on the planet
/runs
shitfaceness was related to Bruins/Rangers game
uh
please tell me you've seen airplane
please tell me EVERYONE HERE has seen airplane
Surely everyone has seen Airplane.
Tutorial to an epic Sony E3 conference:
-Mark Cerny takes the mic and says: "Three ninety nine".
-Then go out and starts 2 hours of incredible uncommented gameplays played in real time with the DualShock4: GT6, Killzone, Infamous, Driveclub, God of war, Little Big Planet 3, Uncharted 4, etc...
-Then Mark comes back and says: "Oh, I forgot something, no DRM".
- and them drops the shirt-pen mic to the floor....walks away.
-End.
-Collect the billions of dollars of a winning videogame generation.
Yes and don't call me Surely.Surely everyone has seen Airplane.

If it costs them $499 to produce, and third parties flock to DRM friendly Microsoft, Sony may end up going bankrupt. They can't afford another sinkhole like the PS3.Tutorial to an epic Sony E3 conference:

Hehe.
I agree it would initially hurt them, but third parties don't always make the smartest decisions. They ignored the wii, which was outselling the Xbox and PS3 combined in the worlds largest market for years. The BOM for the ps3 was somewhere around
800. it launched at 599. $499 for the ps4 to produce would be Sonys wet dream.
On top of that, third parties literally cannot afford to "flock" to Microsoft, thanks to Sony being dominant in Europe and the only option in Japan. they're literally half the market.
to be fair, this works against Sony as well, third party games will almost all be multiplatform or timed exclusive, sans one or two exceptions.
