Wait. So I can rent GoW later and download the demo?
I wish I could get my hands on the full release earlier than the 14. Im gonna check NY for a few mom and pop stores who break street dates. My hype is overflowing my cup runneth over.Thanks for clarifying. The countdown clock in the OP ends in about 5-6 pm local time. Hopefully I can redeem it sooner
@Dori probably so. Theres a button you just press from the GoW.A menu that takes you to the demo. Could already be on disk just have to download minor code idk.
Question: If the disc is the only thing needed to access the demo, can more than one account play it? I have a friends' copy GOW, so if I play the demo first, will he be able to do so as well when I return the game to him?
Damn, I JUST finished the game. Got to the Trial last night, but after about 30 minutes of repeated failures, I gave up and went on twitter to cuss out Sony Santa Monica. That first fight is a god damn nightmare. I actually passed it once, but died on the second stage... and you don't receive any checkpoints, so everything must be completed in one go.
After a little bit of researching, I found the answer to passing the Trial. SPAM that Amulet of Uroborus like there's no tomorrow. It helps if you've got the blades and Hades' element maxed out. I'd been using the Ice element for the entirety of the game because it gives you extra red orbs, but the Dark element gives health after specific kills. Anyway, I turned that crap on today and beat it in my first try.

Thanks for the link though. It's not surprising considering how anticipated this one is and how many preorders it has and Sony was already preparing for the future by buying the other domain names for sequels (kind of common practice though).
I don't think I've been more excited for a damn demo in my life every since the BF2 demo really.

From someone that has already played the beta demo, if the demo included with GOWA is the same build, expect to be waiting a while on the download, the actual psn download is small but when launched the downloaded game basically acts as a download manager and downloads the rest of the current demo build - took me about an hour but if the whole internets trying at the same time it may drag a bit.

I've got GOW:A but wondering if I want to play the demo or just carry on with my semi blackout and wait for the release.......
Just a note: playing through the demo doesn't spoil much but it does give hints at where the story is going, and when you play back through the demo sections in the full game there's that unavoidable sense of deja vu.
Worth playing? Yes. But not if you want to enjoy the full game in its own context, I'd say.

I don't know but DO NOT risk it lol. Your friend would probably be really pissed if he got the disc back and couldn't access the demo cuz you used it up

Don't make me buy/rent/borrow/steal GOW:A just to play this demo... I said I'd be strong, but I'm weak and I love Naughty Dog.
Dont fight it you can play the demo until the full game releases. Do it give in doo it dooo it do

Lol, I'll play it safe then. Hopefully someone can confirm if this demo is playable on more than one ps3 tomorrow.

Can't believe I'm finally playing this today. I've been on blackout since the first gameplay demo but I can't say no to the chance of playing this today.
Good thing there aren't any clickers in the demo, I only want to see those for the first time when I play the full game.

It's the main thing I want to test out, so I'm hoping there are. Probably won't be.
In 2 minds whether to knock off work early this afternoon. Saying that what with everyone and their mothers begging, borrowing or stealing a copy of GoW: A who don't own it already and combined with my broadband from the dark ages it would be quicker for me to wait until the 14th.

Boot up the disc and on the main menu press triangle (I think). It will take you to a TLoU demo screen with a countdown. If you can do that on your German disc I think you're golden

Okay, so the guide leaflet says to press Square at the main menu of GOW to get access/information on the last of us demo. When you do press Square however, nothing happens.
