Knack, Shadow Fall and Driveclub are confirmed, Second Son could be. That's already enough for me, and they'd be better off spacing their games a bit.
Could be, but methinks the series has lost too much mindshare after its move to PSP to cause meltdowns.
They're aiming for mid 2014 so CoD and Destiny don't eat into each other's sales.
Need to see more of all 3 before making decisions. If BF4 is 60fps and 64 players then I will probably get it, if not then never mind.
I'm excited to see more of the game.

That trailer and talk of old PS stuff just makes me want to start playing PS1 games off of PSN.
I got an N64/Dreamcast instead of a PS1, and while I don't regret it (those are two awesome consoles), I do wish I had played a lot of PS1 games that look awesome. I've played a few here and there at friends' houses, but not that much.
I don't even know where I'd start.

None since I pretty much have FPS fatigue. Just going to see what launch games are coming out first before I purchase any next gen systems.

I've realized this here on GAF and on other forums, but for me personally If I end up getting a PS4 at launch, KZ: Shadowfall is probably my only 100% guaranteed game purchase (at least in terms for games already announced).

My ability to not break my PS1 controller, console and TV during this scene was.... very admirable.
Hopefully Konami will put their heads from assess during nextgen, and return Resident Evil franchise to its roots.
I know people are tired of reboots, especially from Capcom but RE is one series that sorely needs it.

The best thing about it though is that it just doesn't look insane, but the gameplay is godly as well.
Do you like platformers? You could always start with the Crash Bandicoot or Spyro series (both series have aged great, well the Naughty Dog and Insomniac incarnations anyways).
Can't go wrong with Klonoa or Tomba either.

I need to see more of it first. I think a lot of people are on that same page. I liked what I saw from the single player, but I need to see the multiplayer before I pull the trigger on anything.
On a lighter note, yay for getting my account approved!

The Evil Within will be the RE reboot we deserve.
Oh, I completely agree. Day 1 on PS4.
I really don't even know how they fix RE to the point where it's scary. (Yes, the early games were scary to me.)
They're never going to give up the TPS mechanics, because they feel well enough, and the ineffectiveness and tension of having so little control really made those original games so scary. Obviously they can make the games scarier than RE5/6, I mean that won't even take effort or creativity to do, but figuring out the control scheme in relation to combat will be difficult. I'm really interested to see how Mikami pulls that off.
Either way, they definitely need to be a reboot, because I don't think even the most die-hard fans of Resident Evil are willing to put up with another bland action game with mechanics that are inferior to other games of a similar ilk (ie Uncharted and Gears of War).

I assume you mean XV and I think that it's incredibly unlikely for that to be a launch title. A 2014 is far more likely.

So, will 8GB RAM mean we finally get to see the corpses of the enemies we kill lying around? And debris hopefully as well?

I hope KZ: SF have a snow level.
The grenade explosions are something else. I've watched them frame by frame a few times and the way the smoke, sparks, and fire curves and moves with the wind with the fire lighting up the smoke is absolutely insane.

Fact is that as long playstation user the FPSes are not my priority in a sony console.
It's nice to have them, but i bought the psone and pstwo the GTs, the Tekkens, the Final Fantasy s, Metal Gears etc, Pro Evolution soccer s the Crash s etc...
My FPS games were on the PC from Quake to Unreal.
So even if i enjoyed a lot Resistance 3, K3 or RAGE, they come always after the other genres.
Maybe it's the same with other gaffers.

I want to see the guys at GG tackle a genre other FPS. They are super talented and Shadowfall looks amazing but I'd love to see their take on an action RPG or some kind of open world game. I know they are working on another PS4 game but I don't know much about it.
