you've never played Call of Duty: World at War on Veteran, how my controllers survived that I'll never know

Agree with you, I made the same mistake of playing it on Veteran for some trophies and it took me days of frustration to finish it, didn't do it ever again and even dropped the whole trophy issue off my mind lol

Okay guys, 8 Days to go. Thought I'd come up with a list of 10 topics (one per day) we can all post about until E3 gets here.

Pretty self explanatory, what is the hardest playstation game you ever played? :)

Pick only 1 game.
Shinobi on PS2. I had less trouble playing through the Ninja Gaiden Σ games.

I would totally take an Uncharted 4.

Ditto. Maybe they can finally make a game about Drake finding Atlantis.

I would like for Drake to finally have a good old Egyptian themed adventure.

The ship is not leaking.

They go after MS and their fabled 90 minute gaming heaven extravaganza, so they need to have maximum impact.

I just wanna say guys, please do not post gifs during the 10th/E3

Dony worry, GAF wont be operational during that day.

Not Demon's Souls, that's for sure. I duped the hell out of that game (and zero guilts felt). I'd probably say chapter 4 of Uncharted 1 on crushing was the hardest thing I've done on PS3. I'm sure there were harder things but that really burned into me.

Did you play NG+. I'm the opposite. I found dark souls real easy but that may be due to me already playing demons souls but on the whole its a lot less punishing. Also found it a bit boring towards the end.

Of course I did. I got 100% in that game. I beat it 6-7 times and yes the NG+ was harder but once you know the layout and how to beat the bosses, you can do it all without much trouble.

Not terribly hard once you've learned the setup, but man o' man I found my first playthrough of Valkyria Chronicles to be BRUTAL to perfect each round. Some of those fights definitely added to my grey hair count.

The worst part is that the game tricked me with it's beautiful artwork and charm!

I've only just begun my journey in Demon's Souls (thank you PS+!), so I'd say if you're going after the Platinum, WipEout HD can be one tough cookie.

It's funny that you found it brutal to perfect each round, because I can't even imagine attempting it, i'm amazed that you did it. I thought it was hard to just complete the thing. It took me 2 years on and off to get through it. I had to keep giving up for a while, It was my proudest gaming achievement when I finally completed it. It kind of hurts that there are no trophies.

can't think of many, i have played loads of playstation titles over the years though

the first title that came to mind though was heart of darkness, but i never beat it so i am no expert on it so would like to hear other peoples thoughts on it

Some of those boss fights just weren't fair. Also, what's up with enemy tanks being able to hit my 95% covered powercore from like, 90 miles away (from the enemy POV, they can't actually see my tank btw).

I call serious shenanigans :(

Toughest game for me was Rayman 2, and especially with trying to 100% it. Also, nice bingo card, Cheesemeister. God, I hope the PS4 doesn't go over $500+.

I just started playing Demon's Souls for the first time a couple of days ago, courtesy of PS+, just to see what all the fuss was about. I got killed by some knight surrounded by a blue aura in level 1-1, and was promptly returned to the beginning of the level with all the monsters I had slain beforehand respawned. I thought to myself "screw this", turned off the game and haven't returned to it since. There's nothing wrong with a challenge, but forcing myself to go through all that again is the kind of sadomasochism that I can do without in life.

Maybe Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5 on hardest difficulties. They were equally tough.

My hardest game was Uncharted 1 on Crushing,

NEVER..... AGAIN.....

After playing Hard and dying a lot in those shootouts, I had it down perfectly. Like the churchyard. I knew where they spawned, I knew the sequence of goonies I had to take out, etc. The only variables were missing a shot and then the part of the fight where they start flanking you. The church fight I knew how to abuse, though I did that on Hard, on Crushing it didn't work that well hiding outside.

I had a blast on Crushing and hardly died. In comparison the harder modes of 2 and 3 felt unbalanced.

PS: Metalmurphy, that's reaaally nice.

Mirror's Edge for me. I've got platinums for Demon's/Dark Souls. I will never get the plat for Mirror's Edge.

To think you will go through life never having fully experienced one of the true classics of this generation, a game people will talk about to their grandchildren. When you are old and frail your grandson will turn to you and ask, "Grandpa, did you play through that game called Demon's Souls back then, back when games put hair on your chest, even girl's chests?" and you will hang your head in shame and tell him you were too WEAK.

I can't think of anything particularly hard to beat but getting platinum trohpy in Wipeout HD was a pain. Especially getting all gold medals in campaign on elite difficulty.

surprised sony is pimping this game. they should have focused on planetside 2
Planetside 2 is already known about and will sell itself, also its free

Destiny is a new IP thus needs the exposure especially if its to become the next massive IP from bungie, having that with exclusive content thus mind share on your new platform is a major advantage , like Mass Effect in 360

I agree, Wipeout HD is one of the most difficult games to Platinum and one of the most satisfiying games this gen.

Long Live Studio Liverpool.
