These are my sentiments EXACTLY.

Really, I approach these conferences expecting the absolute bare minimum from Nintendo.

These are my expectations for the hour-long E3 2013:

- Pikmin 3 gameplay
- Wonderful 101 gameplay
- Wii U Party gameplay and release date
- New Super Luigi U gameplay
- Game and Wario gameplay
- Wind Waker HD gameplay and release date

- Wii U Sports unveil and release window "Holiday 2013"
- Mario Kart U unveil and release window "Holiday 2013"
- 3D Mario unveil and release window "Holiday 2013"
- Smash Bros. U trailer

....That's it. That's literally all that I am expecting from this hour. Not even trailers for Zelda U, Retro's New game, X, or Bayonetta 2.

This way, ANY surprise from Nintendo will fill me up with joy, because it's 100% unexpected.

I learned a while ago that going into Nintendo conferences with high expectations will just leave you disappointed.

imo you can still be realistic and still be hyped. i am hyped to see a new mario and co but i know many people want new IPs and well if they have them, I'm sure they'll show them or at least talk about them like they did with X and possibly SMTXFE is you call that a new IP.

also for why would they show/talk about Luigi U and Game&Wario...i thought that was stuff was already discussed in a previous direct?

I still think we are getting more infos about the next Zelda U game in the E3 Direct. And here's my ultimate proof of that hope:

Yes maybe a piece of artwork and more driving themes of development. Don't expect a massive trailer.

I'm betting it is fake, because as of now Nintendo only has 526 videos, and in this image it shows they have 527 videos, I believe that even if one of them are private Youtube would show the total amount. So yeah betting that it is fake.

Nintendo is not going to talk 10 minutes about Pikmin again. There's just no way.

I can see them mention Pikmin 3, W101 and Wario, but those would be featured in a sizzle reel trailer, together with the summer third party games, or something like that.

I'm not saying that they are going to unleash one megaton after the other. Nintendo is probably gonna feature SEGA and maybe some other third parties to show their things too.

I guess I'll post my detailed prediction from the other thread in here as well:

0-3 min: Iwata introduction, talking up their upcoming software, emphasizing reinvigorating wii u, Best Buy demos
3-5 min: Start with pikmin 3 introduction, talk briefly about multiplayer while showing new footage
5-7 min: New pikmin 3 trailer that highlights multiplayer
7-8 min: Iwata talking about the trailer we just saw -_-;
8-10 min: Talking about WW:HD, introducing Miyamoto and/or Aonouma
10-12 min: Miyamoto and/or Aonouma talk about how they approached WW:HD, details any new features, highlights miiverse
12-14 min: WW:HD trailer, coming this year
14-15 min: Talking about the trailer we just saw -_-;
15-17 min: Miyamoto and/or Iwata talk about Year of Luigi and NSLU with footage
17-19 min: Some new Year of Luigi promo, lead in for M&L RPG
19-21 min: M&L RPG trailer
21-22 min: Talking about the trailer we just saw -_-;
22-23 min: Reggie introduction
23-30 min: 3DS talk, sizzle reel, new and unnanounced projects including trailers, MH4 talk for the West
30-32 min: More talk about trailers we just saw, hyping up 2013 3DS lineup
32-33 min: Introducing Kamiya and W101
33-35 min: W101 Trailer, post-trailer talk, please buy it
35-37 min: Iwata comes back, talks about bayonetta 2 with Kamiya
37-39 min: Bayonetta 2 trailer, coming this holiday
39-41 min: Kamiya leaves, Iwata talks about Xenoblade on Wii, X, possible Xenoblade HD announcement, X in 2014
41-43 min: X trailer
43-46 min: Miyamoto brought out again, talks about a casual IP, maybe Wii Sports U or a new franchise
46-48 min: Trailer for previous title, post-trailer talk, coming this year
48-50 min: Talks up 3D mario, gives a bit of history
50-52 min: 3D mario trailer, post-trailer talk, coming this year
52-54 min: Iwata comes back, talks about MK8 development
54-56 min: MK8 trailer, coming this year
56-57 min: Introducing Retro's project
57-59 min: Trailer for Retro's game, coming 2014
59-60 min: Iwata thanks you for watching, ending with Smash Bros trailer
60-62 min: SSB4 trailer, no 3DS talk yet, coming 2014
END, goes a few minutes over the 60 min mark

No surprises :-(
SMTxFE and Yoshi Yarn absent from the ND or appears in a sizzle reel, dedicated trailers released to the press
SSB direct will be scheduled for some time during E3 week, will talk about 3DS version week, will talk about 3DS version

That youtube link is definitely fake, although it doesn't list anything that would be too surprising if it did happen. I think Nintendo will spend more time than expected on Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101, as those are games that are coming relatively soon E3 and they will want them to be successful as they have to be the initial sparks to Wii U sales if Nintendo wants this entire Fall/Holiday season to be a true success. Sure, they'll talk some about the new 3D Mario, Mario Kart and SSB4, although those games don't really need extremely long, detailed talks as most people already know how those games are generally going to control and function (outside of graphics). Those 3 main games will probably be explained more in depth at the E3 demos throughout the week plus any other smaller Q&A/presentations they may have.

My friends all think Wii U is crap. Even I tell them not to buy it right now. I hope Nintendo can turn it around.

They said they will probably get the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. I warned them that Xbox One might block used games, but they were really confident that it wouldn't happen. I didn't want to press them and claim that I knew more than them, but I do think I follow video game news more than they do. Nintendo's got an uphill battle. Even though we consider Xbox One a disaster so far, UK preorder numbers and the opinions of the general public seem to tell a different tale.

'a bit more' has a totally different meaning for Aonuma and Nintendo.

Twilight Princess, presented in 2004, was 'coming soon'. :p

They'll focus on Wind Waker. Anything about the new Zelda would be a nice extra, but don't count on it.

Feel like I need to remind people that Nintendo outright said the last Direct was for games released in the Summer, and the next one (June 11) is for games for release in Autumn and beyond. As such, it's incredibly unlikely for Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 to be much more than a footnote within the Direct. They'll be at E3, yes, but not in the E3 Nintendo Direct. I will be very surprised if they are for more than a minute.

Lol some of my friends don't even know what a Wii U is or if it's out.

Yeah that's the closet thing we will get to Zelda Wii U this year, I don't expect anything for Zelda Wii U at E3 2013 but artwork would make me happy.

Also speaking about Super Smash Bros.4 I hope the online is actually good and stable...Not like Brawl's.

I'm not surprised. The UK is Nintendo's weakest market by far.

Yes, the situation is rather dire. Nintendo's efforts have been pretty pathetic, but it's a bit crazy how Xbox One still comes out looking good (to the general public) after their reveal conference while Nintendo just fails to impress even moreso.

Despite our uproar on DRM, it's likely that that public won't care or will remain ignorant on it and still buy Xbox One. That concerns me when it comes to the possibility of PlayStation 4 utilizing such practices. If they know people will buy it regardless, they will be more likely to implement it.

Well seeing as RETRO haven't finished rendering the cinematics/cutting the final clips for the end of show teaser trailer yet, that has to be fake anyway.

Go on...

There's no way X won't be shown.

I don't think it would be surprising if it wasn't shown, but I still expect it to be there. Just depends on how far off it is from release.

That's a bold statement you made here. Care to elaborate?

Eh, not really. It'll take a game like Smash or Mario Kart to get people to realize the Wii U exist, and that they need to buy a console to play the latest one. Nintendo hasn't really started on the marketing until just recently, and they still haven't put up any TV ads yet for it. Once the games start coming starting in August, I expect a really strong advertising push from Nintendo.

To start off with, we'll start seeing Wii U's on TV shows and the like as product placement in the fall. And more late night TV stuff, I know there was Jimmy Fallon's appearance last year, but you can do simple stuff like an 'update' one year later on Fallon and other late night shows. Getting it on Conan, Colbert's, etc would help a lot in terms of marketing.

Technically you are confirming youtube timestamp since you mentioned that it's for end of show. :P
