As a book reader, this was me the entire time

still can't get over the multiple stabs to her gut. one would have done it but multiple stabs? that's fucked up.

maan i wonder what the guy who did the stabbing was thinking when he got the order. and while doing it.

Coulda used a few more! It reminded me of the stabbing scene in Zodiac, that goes on for way longer.

I haven't seen this ep yet, but read to that point in the book. I was leaning toward skipping the scene when I got to this episode in the series - I'm watching on disc and am one season behind - but knowing this is in, I'm skipping the scene for sure. I can take a lot, but seeing a pregnant woman stabbed through the belly is way past my tolerances.

Agreed with Jett, Robb's end is clearly his own doing. Been acting like a complete dumbass all season. In GoT, that tends to catch up with you.

I expected watching it to suck, but I thought the entertainment of witnessing the reactions would outweigh the pain. I was fucking wrong.

Those doors shut and every hair on my body bristled.

Fuck.

I had a bad feeling about everything because the girl looked good (Probably wasn't his daughter), and how they carried them out of the room (I figured he would have the girl to kill him, or something bad was going to happen to him as a lesson to Robb). Then that door closed, and that creepy music, at that point I expected the worst.

Man the non-book reader thread is vicious right now against anyone that admits to having read the books hahaha.

I was waiting.

Waiting so long......season one they thought....that was the worse, that was shocking, that was the twist of the knife....but I knew and I waited....savoring the time it would come to pass and finally after all that waiting.....it has come.

So good.

I knew it would happen and how but I still cried. That was fine acting, that was. So beautifully laid out, so painful...

The way it's been going I understand, though.. Bish should just rename the whole thread to:

Game of Thrones *NO BOOK PEOPLE. PERIOD.* |OT| Season 3 - Sundays on HBO [Read the OP]

I feel bad for them.

difference in the mediums , TV and the book, change how significant Robb seems to the story. He was never really a POV character (unlike Ned)in the books so you could guess he was gonna be an expendable Stark.

I think they want to actually pretend the books don't even exist.

Very odd.

I already said this is the OT but that was the first time that a TV show, or even movie for that matter, literally made my jaw drop. It was just so unexpected. I've seriously never reacted like that to a scene before. You just don't expect multiple characters in a TV show that you've gotten to know over 3 seasons to all suddenly die in a massacre.

It was amazing.

I am SOOOOOOO fucking angry though.

Something needs to go right for the Starks once in a while.

Honor is nothing more than a hindrance in the Game of Thrones universe. Those without scruples and pools of ambition will go far and the honorable and just will perish.

rickon will save the day. i have faith.

in the future he'll grow to be like 6'5 riding shaggydog as a mount. and he'll have vengeance on his mind.

TEAM RICKON. fuck whatever starks are left and the others.

The Starks seem to get the short end of every freaking stick. That's like three consecutive Stark head's of household that have been brutally killed. Ned's dad; roasted alive. Ned; decapitated on the orders of King Twat. Rob Stark the King of the North; set upon by dickwads who care little for the sacredness of hospitality.

I don't get the feeling that any of this is going anywhere.
GRRM idea of drama is to simply kill the characters people like. Yet, those characters make the most unrealistic decisions, and do the dumbest things, just so he can make that happen.

Whats more frustrating is the feel like there is not going to be any justice for any of the Starks death.

Yea, I wouldn't count on it.

GRRM in an interview once said that he doesn't hate the Starks, but that the Lannisters also go through their fair share of problems. That is simply not true.

Can the book readers not contain themselves? Stop opening hinting at spoilers in this thread too. Good lord people.

Even book reader speculation, stop it yall.

Winning a war at age 15 is what's unrealistic.

Real people die because they make dumb decisions.

Embrace the superior art form.

I suppose you don't want us to spoil the Great Gatsby movie either?

Robb decided to start a war against the most powerful family in the Seven Kingdoms. He then proceeded to shit on all of his allies. His downfall was going to happen sooner or later.

I've read the book, but haven't seen the episode (won't for a while yet) but did they show Grey Wind try to warn Rob? Was so sad after reading the Red Wedding that Grey Wind at least wasnt saved.

Unfortunately, no. It was one of the few touches the show missed.
