DriveClub (Evolution Studios/PS4) announcement trailer. [PS3 WHEELS ARE SUPPORTED]

A wide range of drive-able camera views will be available including 3rd person.

Regarding all of the other questions hopefully we'll share more about DRIVECLUB closer to E3...

Good news, although i enjoy cockpit view i do like to have different options in game, i assume the FP view is obligatory only until you have entered the car to race.

I know. And it's a fucking odd 'design choice' on hardware that should be powerful enough to satisfy both the screenshot whores AND the framerate whores at the same time. Surely the balance can be better managed in a driving game (on uber-powerful hardware, no less) where framerate is vitally important to the overall experience?

Devs can still find ways to make 30fps games on a console that had Titan GPU's. If they have their priorities in the wrong places of course.

I agree though, this game needs to be 60fps. No need for racers to be 30fps anymore.

I will try and answer what I can here, but as pointed out in this thread I'm not able to answer too many questions just yet.

Anything which has been announced/talked about already I can respond to, but anything else will unfortunately have to wait for the time-being.

I'll have a go :)

Are the sounds heard in the trailer indicative of the actual in game sounds or are they dubbed.....?

Sounded absolutely amazing!

30fps racing games border on being unplayable for me. In fact, for any high speed game in any genre, 60fps is really a must.

Yeah, I know.

I predict GT, Forza Motorsport, pCARS and Assetto Corsa to target 60fps for next-gen consoles. Everything else.. it will be a gamble.

But will any of them target 60fps replays?

I really hope we get 60fps replays back for next-gen instead of 30 with added effects, I have a feeling we won't though :(

Absolutely agree 100%.

Fuck, next gen isn't even here yet and I'm already pissed off knowing that some racing game devs will crank up the screenshot porn at the expense of silky-smooth 60fps gameplay.

"We chose 30fps for artistic reasons".

Yeah? Well you are WRONG.

These are new, right?

This is the first I'm seeing of this game and I'm getting Test Drive Unlimited vibes. I liked that game...a lot.

holy fuck - this looks amazing. in some ways, it looks too good to be true.

it DWARFS the level of detail of current gen racing games.

This may or may not be newsy:

The name of the guy who was with Bizarre for fucking aaages, did some work with Sumo, then Lucid (but only for a few months) and is now working for Evolution is named Eamon Urtone. Did the trailer/video editing for all of them (and also did the Bizarre Creations "Farewell" video).

So I'm guessing these are caps from a trailer he's putting together? Maybe that's widely known, I haven't read the article they were from.

Amazing stuff. But I hope it looks like this when playing the game and not some replay mode or bullshots. I am skeptical for now. But if it really looks like this when I am playing the game...then yes this is truly next gen. I hope so :)

With this game looking so good and GT6 coming to the PS3 my only true question will be how to find the time for both. This E3 is going to be amazing fellow GAFfers.

I can honestly see this game steal some GT6 time from me. It's looking good.

It should steal some time from most gamers.

People are prob not realising just how big this game is yet.

It's been in the works for years and years and has arguably the best team of racing game devs in Europe working on it.

I suspect when they release a proper in-game trailer hype levels will go right up.

I'll argue that! You forget just how many racing developers are in Europe ;)

Well sure, but it's hard to come up with a better roll list than guys that have worked on WRC, Formula 1, Gran Turismo, MotorStorm, WipEout and Project Gotham Racing in the team making the game is all.

Funnily enough, a lot of the racing studios have a similar (if not identical) pedigree, albeit with different ratios.

So, anyone really looking forward to seeing what's what at E3?

While trailers and screens are nice, it would be great to actually see some good old fashioned gameplay and hopefully, some more concrete information regarding the game..

Yep, it's all about the direct-feed gameplay. Driving games can ALL look fantastic from non-gameplay angles and photomode bullshots. I want to see what this mofo looks like when I'm actually playing it, on my telly, using my Fanatec
DON'T DARE FUCKING STIFF ME LIKE THOSE MICROSOFT COCKSUCKERS, SONY!
