Nobody could make it past the first season?A list about best written tv shows and not even a mention of Babylon 5, WTF?
Yeah, it's an incredibly well written show. The characters are all incredibly complex and they work hard to earn all the drama they put in the show. The Shield = Top 5, at least.
Mad Men above The Wire?
I noticed 'The Simpsons' barely missed the Top 10 at number 11.
How do you judge a show like this, anyway? A show that was great for a significant number of years(a whole decade), but obviously lost it's groove a long time ago and is still going. Do you judge it only by it's good years while ignoring the bad? There's more bad than good at this point, amazing as that is.
I disagree. It's different in comparison to the prime episodes, but some of the writing is far more clever than most comedic sitcoms.
The Sopranos was such a tiresome snooze after the third season. Is there anybody that watched it for any reason other than habit?
I don't get all the retroactive love for the show when arguably more than half the episodes are forgettable.
Breaking Bad should be in the top 5. Some of those are deserving of top 10.
LOST at least has fantastically written characters so I am not mad about it being above Dexter.
no series that has yet to be completed should be in the top 5. especially one as plot driven as Breaking Bad. not saying it couldn't be there when it's all said and done, but let's see how Vince ends it first.
27. Lost – ABC – Created by Jeffrey Lieber and J.J. Abrams & Damon Lindelof
No. After S6 this show doesn't deserve to be anywhere on that list.
