Nostalgia, "gameplay first" and such. I also don't consider cinematic dudebro shit "true games" - well, most of it. Never said a "true gamer" should play exclusively on Nintendo systems, though.

And you'd easily win that argument. If you are a true and hardcore gamer, you play a lot on Nintendo systems. Funny how the most broad and actually casual gaming is being offered on the "true hardcore gamer" systems. I've been saying for a while that this whole hardcore vs casual nonsense has been completely misinterpreted over the years.
People who go watch Transformers and Harry Potter in theaters aren't considered hardcore movie buffs either.

Me too. I even had a ps3 for a while, but I didn't like it much because of DLC and cut content everywhere. Also most games weren't really polished and lacked some little details here and there. The thing I really enjoyed there was online multiplayer. It aas fantastic on some games and very addicting.
You could, but that wouldn't really prove anything. I have nothing against games on smart devices (I play those as well), I simply have a problem with the insane signal-to-noise ratio and question it's viability as a platform for businesses because of how unpredictable and overcrowded it is.

I like that I made that post with the double standard of knowing that I'll never support the XB1 while it pushes those anti-consumer aspects of itself. It's as if I totally wrote off the One into a non-entry. Weird.
I'm thinking Wii U/PS4/3DS and a decent laptop/PC is enough gaming for me for the upcoming generation.
