TitanFall (EA/Respawn, PC/XB1/360, Spring 2014, Game Informer Leak, All Info In OP)

No other megatons in the issue but a couple of currently unannounced titles are previewed.

SAY IT. I wanna know. Damn, publishers are probably going to be mad at GI for this.

I call timed exclusive. Or maybe even just "announcment" exclusive. If they are making a PC version too, there is no reason not to make a PS4 version too. Aside form money hats.

Spoke too soon, there are screenshots towards the end of the article. Smartglass integration, "some level of" Kinect support, Campaign Multiplayer, Regular Multiplayer, and some one player mode that isn't revealed yet.

in-game? gameplay? does it look good?

Curious... when do new issues of GameInformer usually release? Just wondering if this was meant to be shown after the conferences next week or not.

He got his about three days early. I normally get my digital issue in my email on the ninth. That's about two weeks sooner than people who get the issue mailed to them.

Pretty sure this is the big one.
Yip. But it doesn't actually rule out there being a Mirror's Edge 2 as well.
Possibly, but we also have this:
Yet Amazon Italy's listings are:

Hmm. Is there no equivalent entry about DA3 for PS4?

Regarding platforms:
You sure about that? Has to be delayed right it can't be day 1.
Give it a year after release and it'll be on PS4 & PC, much like the GTA IV and Fallout 3 DLC etc.

I wasn't exactly sure how to interpret these though? I "wooo" = "No, it's day 1 PC." and "weee" "Yes, there'll be a delayed PS4 version"?

Can't wait!

True/timed 3rd Party exclusives are a double edged sword. On one hand, I think 3rd party exclusives ultimately sell better in the short run due to the perception that exclusivity brings to your game at the beginning of a generation. But once it does release to other platforms, it has a good chance of being dead at arrival or selling a fraction of what it could have.

TC needs to pass info along that could be considered new and make new threads for the news.

I logged into the Windows section of the site and it still has the old issue but seen that Google link. They done goofed but thank God for the PC version.

And thinking about it just now, it will probably be Steamworks so I will be able to hold back funds just for this game if it looks good enough.

If EA is the publisher, you can bet every penny you have it's Origin exclusive.

is there any other new games in the magazine ?

Just scrolled through the Magazine looking for unannounced titles and there wasn't anything.

There's previews for a bunch of games we already know about (GT6 and Need for Speed: Rival, ect) but even their multipage article on the XBone only lists Forza 6 and Quantum Break as known games.

From the article about Titanfall:

"Thanks to the more open maps, healthy mix of enemy AI and real players, and the ultra-powerful titans, the gameplay loop in Titanfall is more accommodating to newcomers."

"Seeing a match play out on three different player screens in a short demo after the the target gameplay video, the average time of life seems drastically increased over the average Call of Duty, Battlefield, or Halo match."

Going to go dig for other gaming news before it gets yanked.

Longer life time than in Halo? Huh? The Killtimes are already slow in Halo right now.

I decided to nab the issue myself; no real news outside of TitanFall, outside of a preview for the Fantasia game that was announced. There is a top 25 list for DS games that should inspire some outrage, though, so I'll make a separate topic for that.

Yeah sorry, I hadn't seen Dying Light before but apparently it's old news.

Anyway, I wish I had my 5 bucks back.

So then this isn't that huge considering Microsoft's conference would've been on the 10th. That is unless GI was going to delay release of this issue until after E3?

Oh. I don't like the sound. AI, Multiplayer? All combined? Yes. Game won't be playable for me because of my slow internet connection.

Cheers. I was about to dig that out again :D

Correct there's no Dragon Age PS4 entry.

And yeah I agree with your interpretation.

I hope your joking. The kill times in Halo 4 are rediculously fast, like COD fast.

Fuck that. This game already sounds much more interesting then the next COD and Halo put together.

Is it listed for PS4 too? They seem to be supporting the platform, but I want to confirm if it's coming to PS4.

Cover looks nice. Probably won't play it due to Xbone DRM and Origin only in PC. I don't trust the cloud integration, just a way to justify always on as with Sim City.
Overall, this confirms how close EA and MS are now.

This all sounds really interesting, but damn some people in Minneapolis must be pretty mad right now.

Cross-gen though? Making it XB1/PC only would have carried more weight, and it would have positionned them on next gen the way Call of Duty 2 on 360 prepared them to take over this gen.
