At least at TGS there's a chance that Atlus, Level 5 and Nippon1 might announce some stuff :D

Let me know when Atlus announces a full-spec sequel to Nocturne for consoles and we'll talk. The laziness of SMT4 on 3DS isn't cutting it for me.

In any case, I really hope Kagari is right. XBone is dead to me, and I'm not getting a WiiU until it's $199. Sony needs to wow me, otherwise I'll ignore them like I did the Dreamcast.

Starving actors can't afford multiple consoles.

I quite enjoyed the slow buildup at the PS reveal. Its funny reading all the posts back in the thread going "SHOW US THE GAEMZ"

I think it only took about 5 minutes for all the "SHOW US THE GAMES" post to start. GAF is pretty ridiculous during conferences.

This thread now has over a million views.

We've made it this far, guys. Mere days to go.

Vita, however, is a different story. I've only had the console for 16 months and I'm already getting fatigued with it. Indies are nice and Guacamelee was brilliant, but I'm ready for another Uncharted GA or Gravity Rush, so I'm hoping Sony spends at least 15-20 minutes talking Vita's future...

I completely understand why non-Vita owners could care less, obviously.

I'm a Vita owner too and I still don't care.

It'll never get sufficient western support and it doesn't have Monster Hunter in Japan. Meh.

The GI Titanfall cover reveal wasn't supposed to be until next week, presumably just after the E3 press conferences. Instead, the entire issue was available for purchase/subscribers on Google Play for an hour or two this morning.

I imagine that both MS and EA - maybe just the latter, depending on where the reveal was intended to happen - are extremely pissed at GI right now.

edit: beaten, c'est la vie

Hmmm. I would assume the next logical step would be live demo of announced games. But you are correct as usual.

They'll all almost certainly be playable at E3, but Sony usually only has around five live demos in their show. One or two are usually third party games and the other three are first party titles.

FF13 wasn't a TERRIBLE title or anything but it was by far the most disappointing title in a long time.
Out of Final Fantasy games on consoles since Dirge of Cerebus I agree. But it was way better than that piece of garbage, I also preferred it to XI as I'm not an MMO guy. I don't know I quite enjoyed the XIII series.
I preferred FFXIII to FFXII. FFXII was one of the more disappointing Final Fantasy games for me.
Nah XII was good stuff, it was certainly better from a character, story and world point of view at the least. Well in my opinion.

re TitanFall... does anyone think a mech game would sell better on playstation anyway? maybe i'm just dumb to think that.

Probably not but it's a significant gap in their library. Starhawk was a huge squandered opportunity for Sony to have a good mech battlefield game. It should have been Chromehounds with Warhawks, but they did the transformers thing instead. The whole direction Starhawk went was just lousy.

Anybody have a guess on whether or not there will be a Vita refresh? I'm curious because I'm wondering how they'll hand the shoulder buttons since all games have to support remote play. Any idea what other solution might exist?

Thoughts?

Come on it wasn't that bad, peeps just came off the legendary FFXII and it wasn't comparable. Although I preferred the battle system and soundtrack.

I didn't like XII and I ended up HATING XIII. I don't think there's any correlation between XII and the reaction to XIII.

Hell. After FFX, Versus was the first time I was truly hyped for an FF announcement...and look what happened with that.

Well replaying it is another story. You have that mad 20hr tutorial to slog through again :p

But I sank over 100hrs with all that post game content on Pulse. Hunts were awesome thanks to a fantastic battle system.

That battle system...ugh.

I never thought a game would make me miss XII's, but it did. :/

Man, people are so afraid of eating crow. I've got no insider info and I'm sticking with $299 ps4. And even though I read the pachter thread afterwards, and I'm convinced pachter knows what he is talking about this time, so I reckon I'm wrong, I'm sticking with the $299 tag. :P

Why so serious?

Heck, I'll throw another one out there. Dead Rising 3 will be at E3. Call it a gut feeling. Heck, with them talking about Deep Down as a next gen title, Dead Rising 3 isn't the most realistic proposition. But there you go.

The battle system was bad when you started out because it was easy to mash the attack command and win. Harder battles later on and more specifically hunt quests required great strategy and quick thinking, as well as a good understanding of the various classes. This made for a really great battle system with a fair bit of depth.

Not when Nomura working on it , he is the main reason why i have hope .
Truth is i have not fully enjoy a FF game since FFX i need that to change .

I think it will be good. My biggest fear is that this thing never comes out, or if it does, its so far different from what we've seen so far that it isn't the same game anymore. This thing was announced the year I entered highschool, I've graduated and been working for two and a half years and it still isn't out.

Hopefully its at E3. The premise, art, story, and gameplay all sound fantastic.
