If you're making a thread, you might want to use the following link in place of the UK & Ireland page, it's the EU ND language selection page:

I forgot to upload mine this morning before I left for Uni :(

but here it is:

I want one thing, and one thing only from the next Mario Kart.

64 style shells.

Green shells that continue until they hit a destructible object or character, and Blue Shells that slide on the ground.

Oh right, Monster Games is pretty likely too. I was surprised they didn't have an Excite title at launch. NLG could happen I guess, but that quote you mentioned was only from a couple days ago, so they may not have their next project yet. I also think we could see IntSys' Wii U game. Their reign of terror on the 3DS has to be put on hold at some point!

We know Headstrong Games is working on a Wii U project as well. Sakaguchi (Mistwalker) seems to be pretty hard at work on something judging from his FB page, although we might not see that yet if it is a Nintendo project.

Really, it's hard to say what they have up their sleeves since we don't know how many projects they've outsourced thus far.

I wouldn't mind a new Last Story... but that game didn't live up to its potential. Characters, setting, battle... were all fine, if on the safe side, but the story was, well, underwhelming for a game with such a title. Also, must be the shortest RPG i ever played.

Monster just released a game, and considering how tiny they are, I think they'll stay on 3DS. Same thing with Silverball (formerly Fuse Games) and Curve. And IntSys is working on SMTxFE I guess.

Headstrong is pretty small these days, they've downsized considerably after Overkill. Maybe they're working on Art Academy for Wii U, or maybe it's some job for Ubisoft. I wouldn't expect much.

Nintendo usually always has surprises though. Even last year they did with NintendoLand and The Wonderful 101.

I'm fully expecting to see:
Mario 3D U (like promised)
Mario Kart U (like promised)
Smash Bros U (like promised)
Wii Sports U (surprise)
Retro Studio's new game (surprise!)

That is where my expectations are currently set. The rest will be filled with other stuff we are already aware of and a few other non-significant new announcements. Hopefully I'm wrong, but all-in-all I wouldn't say that would be a bad E3, just not the one they so desperately need.

Not bad? That would be awesome! A new 3D Mario is an event by itself, but in addition we are getting a new Mario Kart, and a remake of WW to be all released this fall. I mean I guess those three titles have lost some "surprise" luster since they were confirmed 6-7 months ago to be shown, but I think people are setting their expectation way too high if they think this would "not bad" and want surprises.

Add in Wii Sports, possible Retro title reveal, Smash, some Sonic games, X, W101, Bayonetta 2 and you have possibly Nintendo's strongest E3 to date. Anything extra would be awesome of course but should not be expected.

What they need is another story but they can't possibly do more than this considering their development teams and the dire situation with most 3rd parties. Imagine if they had a strong relationship with EA and other western based developers. In addition to all that 1st and 2nd party goodness, they would have at least received all the big multi plat games to fill the gaps in between releases.

This is Miiverse's first E3, so I wonder if their hype will reach anywhere near critical levels like our hype gets. (Miiverse mods notwithstanding)

Well, they ported a game over. It's not like they redesigned it from ground up or anything. I just hope they had something on the side. I would love another Excite game.

Totally forgot: Alvion, the guys behind Malicious, are apparently working on a Wii U game. Wouldn't be surprised if that was a Nintendo funded and published thing.

I wonder if we will see EAD Tokyo Group 1's (Takao Shimizu's) game? He produced the original Galaxy in 2007 and they has kind of laid low supervising Zelda: OOT 3D and the 4 swords port for 3DS with GREZZO since. This is the guy that gave us Starfox 64, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, and the original Galaxy! Maybe he is making the fabled "new Miyamoto IP?"

Monster is a dozen dudes somewhere in Minnesota. Even if they were working on another game while porting DKCR, it's most likely a 3DS title.

Or maybe he is working on 3D metroid?

I'm still praying that somebody is making a 3D metroid.. All signs seem to point to the fact that Retro isn't but I'm not giving up yet.

edit// also, as for Miyamoto... I remember reading that he was going to be changing roles soon, forming a small team and working on some small games of his own design.

Did that just evaporate?

Nope. ;-)

It was on their recruiting page back in mid/ late 2012. They've redesigned their website in the meantime, and I can't find it anymore.

I didn't realize they were that small. AH. Would have loved an Excite game :(
Yeah, they're really tiny. On the other hand, they're still bigger than Shin'en, and Shin'en is currently working on one 3DS games and two Wii U games. I wouldn't hold my breath, but who knows?

Can't wait till we get to create our own Miiverse threads, E3 2014 will be huge for that!

Yeah, I'm making the E3 2013 General Information & FAQ thread, which will be up soon. Thanks for the link.

Will you be making the Nintendo E3 Thread? And if so when will it be made?

Cheesemeister will be making the Nintendo E3 thread (unless something has changed). It will be up approximately an hour before the Nintendo Direct broadcast begins.

Ok cool, I guess this will be our E3 thread until that happens?

Would have been useful to be able to create personnal communities on miiverse for this e3 to talk with each others while this place will be down.

I really need someone to tease something on Twitter about Wii U. Like "Just heard about an unannounced Wii U game. :O".

I need the hype.

If GAF is even there an hour before! :-P

Do you think we will be getting an E3 Miiverse?

If not, can we spam Nintendo's Twitter and Miiverse until we do? :D

The fact that there is no Nintendo Direct community on Miiverse is crazy. I'm guessing they don't think they can moderate the rabid fanboyism.

Did you forget the insane amounts of Zelda art/posts in the Nintendo Land community?

Why did you think they created the Legend of Zelda community? :P

I expect NST to be working on the next Metroid. They developed Metroid Prime Hunters, so they would be the next best developer for the job besides Retro or EAD.

The artwork and animated .gifs are some of the best parts of this thread, and these countdown .gifs are the cream of the crop.

DaBoss, can you repost them all in one spot for us to enjoy or get the OP to add them?

I think everyone that made a countdown pic should post all of their pics in one post at the last day or something.

Ones I made so far:

It's bootiful.

Even though I'll be seeing a new EAD Tokyo 3D Mario platformer, Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Yarn Yoshi, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Yoshi's Island, and Retro's new game, Pikmin 3 is still my most wanted title.

Eleven years... eleven years...

So true. It's my most anticipated title in years. Even more than Skyward Sword I think. Just 6 more weeks
I'm European :D

Interesting. Can anyone ask if they've ever been released on other platforms.

Quantum Conundrum is an indie game right? That's like the only first-person sci-fi indie game I know.

Done.
