You'll definitely want to cool down on that expectation. This is what the Versus CG looks like

Yeah, haha went back and watched the trailer. Still, Luminous is no joke. The game will look great if it's running on that engine.

At least we and pubs have a choice, MS is not allowing any choice.

All in all I think used big third party games are done, it will only screw the publishers and devs in the long run. Personally I will be buying less games and most of those will prob be exclusives not available on PC (as for the PC games I will be waiting for sales down the road).
Sony's silence on the matter is indeed a cloud over what should be an exciting wait for the 10th, but hey 3 more days right?

I think if Sony comes out and says "hey the publishers and demanding this for their games so it's out of our hands, but our first party games will not be doing this" what can we do at that point but suck it up?

Can't we say the same for Microsoft too? If that is the case, Microsoft could have definitely handled it better but I do not know how much of a choice does gamers have for the near future with respect to this DRM thing, in the console space.

Kinda off topic, but I can't believe the amount of negativity surrounding Xbone right now. And GopherD is so right, indie devs have been revealing games, but their announcements are getting lost due to all the negative DRM threads. This is so bad...

Microsoft literally ruined Christmas.

Well don't forget one key thing is whether it's cross-gen or a next-gen exclusive games.

I'm not going to lie that I want it to be PS4 exclusive for the best possible visual potential.

The Xbone always finds a way.

Agreed, though it does not seem to be their stance right now I expect there to be some balance eventually between the stance MS and Sony takes. There must be parity in these things in order for competition to be possible and gamers benefit when these guys compete.

It's funny how Sony PS4 went from "they should do this to win" at february to "Please just dont change anything, we're happy with you the way you are"

All Sony has to do is just release a console with current gen policies and everyone would instantly flock to that.

There are so many really frustrated devs at the moment who will be trying to gain attention for some damn amazing work over the next few days, and its getting drowned in (justifiably) negative shit.

If the industry decides to allow corporate wanks to throw handbags at 10 paces, then let them. Let's remember what makes us excited about working and playing in this field. Hype it up!

And let Nomura's Return be EPIC :)

all i can say is save us nomura make this e3 the best ine one in years

I want GAF to prepare for the worst, so I'm going to put this out here right now:

PlayStation World will be a tiered premium service. Most likely paywall will be there. Still unclear if the most basic functions aren't behind a pay wall, but MOST features will be.

Price of the system should be $429 low end-- $529 (larger hd + camera + better finishing?).

I know its been posted before, but it's mostly right. If you are ok with the price, everything else should make you happy.

Price is fine, not sure about the pay wall. I'll need more specifics, thanks Thuway.

We pretty much already know that most will be behind a paywall.

Same with the PS3.

In addition to Plus?

What's a paywall?
Is this like Plus?

As long as online gameplay is free I'm fine with subscription.

The low end price is what I expected the high end would be, not sure how I feel about the premium model having a better finish - that seems lame.

All I care about is online play. Is that behind a paywall? Plz say no :*(

As an Australian, I already have to pay twice that amount already so that isn't a bother. We'll see if "Playstation World" will be a worthwhile service I suppose.

Is World like XBLA Gold aka play online for pay?

Can I still buy PSN games even if I'm not part of PSWorld?

That's the worst of it? As long as online play is not behind a paywall I'll be completely satisfied and will gladly pay for the premium features.
