DriveClub (Evolution Studios/PS4) announcement trailer. [PS3 WHEELS ARE SUPPORTED]

I think it was the dev just trying to show off the track.

If it's just the dev doing it, OK. I'm hoping they're not trying to artificially replicate head movement in the car. A little up and down is fine I guess but watching that again the view pulls both left and right and it looks off.

Just too early to tell if this is worth buying or not. Right now the most solid racer on the PS4 is need for speed. I hope that evolution is able to achieve the lofty goals they set out for themselves.

Best vid I've seen of it yet. Handling seems fun. Road textures and lighting/shadows are nice, but still, something about it doesn't blow me away. Looking forward to seeing weather, night, day and other tracks, as well as a more finished product.

Probably because it is a cam. Needs to be seen in person.

Hey Driveclub devs: if you're not going to use the touch pad for anything, might I suggest swiping left/right for music selection?

name dropping the NeoGAF on there too, nice

You could always just get it free with PS+.

And The Crew looks like the best Car game on the PS4 right now, imo.

Looks great, smoke looks really nice. Given Evo's track record in terms of final polish, I'm really looking forward to seeing the final product.

There's a place for track-based racing games. I actually like them better because most open world racers lack decent level design. That being said I can't wait for nighttime races in the rain!

I really hope that they deliver on the graphics though (granted they have key stuff like day/night, weather and etc.)

But the DAT TRAILER set me up for great graphics and I feel that my interests in this game solely depends on that. I wanna be impressed! Plus its an arcade racer so i'm reluctant as is.

Loving the dynamic day-night cycle.

They seriously need to pretty the game up though. Something about the lighting (or maybe it's the assets) makes the landscape look very 'miniature model' or plasticine like. It's just missing the same details that Forza/GT have, and it's not 60fps.

AND I despise being reset if I go on the grass. It's part of the track, let me use it.

I agree, I much prefer a well made track. I loved the Burnout games, up until Paradise. Could never get on with the open world in that game.

I guess I should judge the finished product but I'm not very impressed, yet.

Same here, but there will be the PS+ version for that. i think it's great that I basically can get the full game with less content and give it a good spin. If I like it after all I might buy the upgrade to the rest of the game. Depends on the price though.

Same here. The contrast is really bad due to the offscreen capture. But the road texture and lightning definitely seem to look very realistic. The grass on the side of the road also seems to look cool when the car slows down (6:30 - 7:30).

Wasn't very impressed from the gameplay trailers until now, but I might be wrong.

I guess, the Forza 5 videos showed more subtle new niceties that I haven't seen before, for instance, the reflection of the driver on the wind screen. Haven't seen such details in Drive Club yet. But again, the DriveClub videos are all recorded in a shitty quality, for whatever reason.

Same, just let me focus on the track instead of a fucking mini map.

Open world is fun for cruising in, but in an actual race I can't stand it.

Hey devs please do not go the reset xar route for grass cutters, if one wants to use the entire track including grass and sand we should be able to

Just include some kind of mechanic that makes the car slow down like if you try cutting corners in Forza 4

Well good to hear about the PS+ version isn't a glossed up demo. Picked up Motorstorm with my PS3 seams like history is going to repeat itself.

Mentioning NeoGAF is now the norm I see, probably a PR check list lol

Plus it's pretty much a given now that vast majority of devs stick there heads in here, registered or not, to gauge the reception of their title. First name on most peoples lips.

Do eet.

Also, does anyone know if you can be racing laps or w/e, and then the time of day dynamically changes? Or maybe some clouds roll in and it starts raining mid race?

I seem to remember some game coming out might have that feature, perhaps it was DriveClub?

Just try out the PS+ edition. That's what I'm doing

Like everyone else said, get the PSN+ version since they confirmed that you can majority of the game there. However how can you state that NFS is the most solid racer on the PS4 at the moment? Just curious.
