Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

And what about us who want unlockables, hm?

You asked why people detest unlocking, and I gave you an answer.

I don't think you have to worry. The game will have unlocking as it always has. In fact, unlocking and "progression" have been extremely profitable since Call of Duty 4. It's a great way to keep people hooked and decrease the chance they'll trade in a game. If anything, we're going to see more unlocking, not less.

But if your question was sincere, then I'm down for cheat codes. You can unlock content, and I can enter the Konami code at the beginning of all my games, so I can play the game how I want.

Unlock everything cheat code for those who don't want to futz around

unlocks for the rest of us who do

done

I was thinking that there could be a "Party Mode" that gives you all playable characters, even from the start of the game, but you only have access to what stages and assist trophies you've unlocked so far, you have no access to alternative modes like Special Matches or Tournament Mode, and nothing you do in this mode counts towards any unlockables, character, stage, or otherwise.

I hope that other characters than Bowser get reworked a bit. Donkey Kong needs the most imho. His running kick is quite underwhelming and a sort of wrestling-styled move like the new Bowser's dropkick would be wonderful. Overall, he lacks consistency between all of his attack and some animations look stiff compared to Brawl's standard (especially newcomers' ultra smooth moves). And if I'm not wrong, he still lacks an aerial down + B.

Link must be hungry.

I need lighting & Texture like this in super smash wii u.

As for me, I shed tears of joy. I normally don't have that happen to me but Smash Bros found a way. I was spamming one of my friends with HOLY SHIT MEGAMAN IS IN SMASH HOLY FUCK DUDE WHAT OH MY GOD.
I had friends do that to me too...while I was watching the ND. Thankfully, NOE had already spoiled me by having a stream highlight of something like "Super Smash Bros: Now with Mega Man"

Gotta say though: crowd pop is way, way better than a bunch of people filming themselves wearing headsets

even that small group in front of the TV was better than anything else there, lol

How have I never noticed that?! 0_0

Another excuse to re-read BitF a third time!

I think the way Brawl did unlocks were fine. The "Play x. no of Brawls" to unlock characters were fine, and the extra stuff was made for people who wanted more time with the game anyway.

We better get three separate prize walls this time like Kid Icarus!

Unlocks are fun to have, but sometimes I think characters in smash could be faster to unlock. Subspace emissary was a good way of doing that in Brawl, but if you're just there to play multi, I personally think that you should be able to choose the hidden "?" slots on the character select, and then have them revealed when the fight starts. Or at least unlock them every other fight or so.

I do hope they are going to keep ZSS too. She was in Other M and Brawl so theorically it's a go but is there any people who thinks whe will be out? Just to mesure the odds!

I'd be surprised if she didn't come back, she was fun to play as and had a totally unique moveset. They tease us with the Zero Laser in the trailer too, so she's gotta be.

That's a pretty shitty apartment for a famed bounty hunter.
Just for you the next Metroid game will be Samus moving into her new mansion only for the removal guys to accidentally drop all her powerups everywhere leading to a mansion metroidvania.
Can't get into the attic without that space jump, need the morph ball to enter the basement and the whole place is infested with dust monsters.

And that's why she sticks to the smaller scale living areas.

Samus enjoys the simple things in life

Exactly.
Cooking for dinner, reading a book with your cat, tiding up your clothe, fighting a big flying creature in your metal armour complete with a shooter cannon,...

The simple things in life, indeed.

Makes me re-evaluate my own life of sorts.

He didn't say she only enjoyed the simple things. ;)

I would play that so hard. I'm not even kidding.

Oh god metroidvania in your house

I WANT IT NOW

I feel like Simon Belmont is perfectly crafted for this game and it's sad that he'll get passed over for less iconic characters.

First, his moveset just screams "Smash Bros." He has the holy water, the axe (perfect for anti-aerial attacks), boomerang cross, dagger and for his smash move- the holy cross. Then there are all the music remix and stage possibilities. Vampire Hunter, Simon's Theme and Bloody Tears. If this game had Simon Belmont, Mega Man and old school looking Sonic in one place, I'd be too happy. Like a childhood dream game.

Yeah, and given the choice of Megaman, Simon definitely should be the obvious other guest. No other character than them better represent the golden age of Nintendo (aside from Ninty characters obviously) and the Konami/Capcom ancient rivalry. Him or Goemon.
