Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

Hotline Miami is up in the US store already? That's pretty fast... And a day early.

They're doing maintence to PSN on Tuesday...and Grace Chen STILL was late with the update =V, there wasn't even a blog post!

Lots of goodies in my Vita now:
H. Miami
Muramasa
VLR

Will grab Haokuoki WotS next week too~

To anyone in Denmark, I just found Rayman, CoD and Gravity Rush to $20 each. That's "cheap" as their normal prices are $70 but they might be cheaper or the same price on Amazon - I haven't checked yet.

This isn't just me right? Anyone else with the J&D Collection who struggled through the pain and ended up suddenly hitting an area where you might even call the framerate "smooth" and "impressive"? Or is it just me? Fatigue and hope, intermingled with dreams and reality?

In Jak 2, go into the first guy you meet who's in the Resistance (down the steps, you know the place) and turn around to face where you came from when you stand next to him. The framerate TANKS.

Kind of off topic but I didn't want to start a new Thread. Does anyone know where my PsVita cloud saves are stored or how I can access them? I've scrolled through the menus but I can't find anything similar to how it is on the PS3. I want to svelte some games but am worried that this will delete my save games as well.

IIRC, go to Content Manager, and from there choose the PS Plus cloud.

Bloody Muramasa not being released in the EU :(

Yeah, I could import a copy, but I don't want a cartridge. I want it tied to my PSN account like all my other Vita games :(

Pushed back to 2014.

Also I want MotoGP, is there any American release upcoming or should I import the cart
2014?! Bummer.

I don't know about Moto GP, sorry!

Jak 1: As I played through the Fire Canyon and left the first hub area I sort of remarked to myself - hey, this seems smoother? Once in the next area the framerate issues almost disappeared. It's like night and day. I have no idea if the initial area is significantly more technically challenging to render (which makes sense as it's 3 or 4 connected worlds with a big draw distance). But the difference between the first hub and the second is amazing. Yet I've not seen a single review comment on it. Which makes me suspicious.

It definitely is much more stable in the second area compared to the first although it gets a bit more mixed/jumpy when you get to the third one, but yeah it's much more of a better/playable expirence once you get past the first area of the game.

I don't think that's a framerate issue, it does that on the PS2 and PS3 releases aswell.

I'm in a similar position. I have the option of importing the cartridge, but then I wouldn't be able to get the DLC which is the main bulk of the extra content in the Vita version on my Australian account.

What do you guys think is best:

* Play VLR blind. Don't play 999 first.
* Watch 999's ending on YouTube before playing VLR.
* Play and finish 999 before playing VLR.

I know the 3rd option is the most ideal but I'm excited to play VLR now and it's a chore to make myself play anything on my DS.

3rd really. But if you're in a rush, ask someone to do all the endings and play through the true ending. :p

the third option of course but since you actually don't want to play on your DS then, watch a full playthrough of 999 (not just the ending..you can skip some parts) and then play VLR.

also playing VLR without 999 is completely fine by the way.

Not impressed by the first Pixel Junk on Vita - should have been Eden IMO.

Pixel Junk Monsters Ultimate HD.

Should have been Sidescroller. The others they can keep (Eden is great but I already own it on two different platforms and couldn't go back to sticks after playing with the mouse tweaks).

Since you own the system you could buy 999 and emulate it on your PC? I'm not sure how that would work though, I never used a DS emulator. Otherwise see a complete playthrough on youtube. Don't trust those who say VLT is enjoyable at its fullest without 999, it's not.

Sony should cut the price of Wipeout Pure and Wipeout Pulse on the store.
I have both games on UMD and play them every now and then on my PSP, because I don't want to pay 16€ to own both digitally to play them on my Vita.
Should be 3,99€ each, not 7,99€.

I also have a question regarding the DLC. I have all the DLC thats been released for Pure in EU and those tracks are just phenomenal, but I can't find the DLC on the store. Can I just copy the data onto the Vita or is there no possibility to play the DLC on Vita?

Thanks guys! I will watch a 999 (story only) play-through on YT before playing VLR. Tomodachi, I downloaded a DS emulator just to play 999 on my PC. I never got down to playing it there though (kept getting a nagging feeling that I should play it on my DS instead...go figure.)

Man, with Hotline Miami, Muramasa and free VLR I think today's literally one of the happiest days for me as a Vita owner. (Aside from the day I bought it and the day P4G was released.)

PSP DD pricing is just really bad, hurt me to see very old forgotten games on crazy prices.

also they need to add the other compatible/working PSP games from the PSstore to PSP section on the Vita store.

Ugh, more PixelJunk? I'm not jumping from excitement after buying the vanilla version on the PS3, add-on and the PSP version.

I was hoping for something more fresh and original.

Hotline Miami has a platinum trophy.

alright, ya'll convinced me. just purchased hotline miami.

at first glance it doesn't seem like my type of game, but it looks like a blast so let's do this.

It should be added that if you're on European PSN, both Rayman and Gravity Rush are free right now if you're a Playstation Plus member. (I just started playing Rayman and it is BEAUTIFUL)

I'm European but I'm only getting PS Plus when my PS4 arrives. :)

EDIT:
Actually I might consider getting Plus already. I'm interested in Catherine on PS3 as well.

I'd say you should consider getting it already. In July we're getting Ninja Gaiden Sigma+ and Unit 13, and they should announce two more games soon that will replace Gravity Rush and Uncharted as the annually available games for Vita. Plus you'll get good deals and (as you've already mentioned) PS3 games as well.

Pixel Junk Monsters Ultimate HD.

sorry guys, but i'm stoked for this! i already recently played through the psp game on my vita (again), but i would love to go through it with a native version. i'm glad to hear it's the first of several pixeljunk games to come though!

i really hope eden is next, then sidescroller.

Glad to hear this. I was wondering about that.

Hotline Miami looks sounds and plays so well on this. Probably my second favorite game on the platform after p4g

yeah, i played a bit of it last night before bed. at first, the controls seemed so weird, but they work really well. i really didn't expect it to control like super stardust haha. it's very cool. i'm saving it for my vacation next week, since i'll be away from the ps3.
