Jak 2 is the best in the Jak and Daxter series, and it was a big gamble to turn the franchise on its head that I think paid off very well...love me some drastic tonal shifts, especially considering Jak1 had very little story or characterization at all...also Jak 3 was very ehh and the worst in the series (not terrible by any means, just not as good as 1 or 2)
I like Kratos, and think his character is perfectly suited for the universe he inhabits and the games just simply wouldnt work if he was any different
Darksiders was the best original IP franchise to come from this gen, love the artstyle, gameplay, and graphics, some of my favorite games ever.
Also anything Playstation and camera related has been crappy since the EyeToy... you got beat by Microsoft, its okay, let it rest
Also Ghost of Sparta is the best God of War game (I myself was shocked at this conclusion after beating it)

Loved Jak & Daxter -- there was some characterization, mainly regarding Daxter, but nothing serious; I had 0 interest in Jak 2 or Jak 3 because of the change in tone and gameplay. Jak 1 will always be my favorite.
(This holds true for the Sly games too. 1 is the best.)
I like Kratos too. There's just something about him that clicks for me... part of it might be the fact that I loved Greek Mythology as a kid and read all sorts of books on it, so seeing those worlds brought to life and seeing these interesting takes on inserting this new character into that world and those stories... it's just awesome. Continuing on, I'm going to say that GoW3 is the best, for me. They had something going in that one where the weapon switch combo system felt right to me and the set pieces and overall epicness were just fantastic.
Darksiders is a great franchise. Loved both installments. I don't know that I'd put it as the best original IP (Dark/Demon's Souls may hold that for me), but it's up there. Particularly War, since he's voiced by Liam O'Brien (<3 Gaara).
I think the Move might be the best out of the "motion" gimmicks, though I'm still waiting for a clearanced package. I think it will be fantastic for all these HotD light-gun games.
It's probably my 2nd favorite MGS game. I have yet to play MGS4 and beyond though, but I will eventually.
Is MGS PW well received by fans? I had a blast with it, even though there were some flaws such as boss fights being made for multiplayer.
I don't know how well received it was -- some love it, some hate it and think PO+ is better, I think.
This is wrong, indefensible simply as an opinion. The fact that they are Batman games is a point against them, because most people will go into a Batman game (or any superhero game) assuming that it's shovelware shit cranked out by some D tier developer to make a quick buck.
Whatever your opinion on the quality of the gameplay, they absolutely do not get their success from their name or the name of the developers behind them.
I'll agree with this. I thought Asylum was going to be trash because it was a Batman licensed game. I was wrong.
I still like Asylum better than City though.
Mass Effect 2 was the worst of the trilogy.
Uncharted is way overrated, especially uncharted 2.
The Last of Us is an average game with too much hype.
GTA is generic mindless violence with a semi-story tacked on.
GT is the worst driving sim franchise.
EA is actually a pretty good publisher.
I'll agree with your ME2 statement. I think I give the edge to ME3 just because the multi was actually fun.
Uncharted 2 is definitely overrated, I'll agree with that.

Here's another one:
I will never understand why people love HL2. The game had a few okay moments, like Ravenholm, but I cannot understand why people heap piles of acclaim upon it.
In fact, this is probably true of most Valve games for me.
