I know you're a Silva hater but come on man. none of those matches were comparable to the amount of taunting he did tonight. he was getting hit and taunting at the same time.90% of that match was him taunting heavily.

Dana is 100% correct. Silva has a remarkable legacy, despite the dumbass way he fought this fight.
Silva and Fedor are nothing alike. Silva's record is legit as hell. The last part of Fedor's PRIDE FC career (from Zuluzinho on) and most of his disgraceful M-1 Global period (until he hit legit competition in Strikeforce) were not.
Dana should do as much as he can not to compare the two.
There's no need to go all hyperbole and put yourself in joke poster territory.

I could see this loss coming for Anderson. Weidman is faster, stronger, younger and a better wrestler and wanted it a lot more than silva did in fact he needed it in the worst way possible. I just thought Anderson would find a way to pull off the win like he always does. It was weird watching Anderson lose though despite his antics he always found a way to win and finish the fight. It seems like father time finally caught up with him.

I'd say the difference between him clowning before and tonight is his opponent was almost identical in size (reach and height).
That ducking and weaving was within reach of Weidman. Maia couldn't reach him, Sonnen couldn't reach him, but could take him down.

Defend a four+ year record that is padded with guys like Zuluzinho, a Mark Coleman on drugs-errr-in need of surgeries, a catchweight-fest with Matt Lindland, Hongman Choi, a fat, disgraced Tim Sylvia, and "Instant KO button" Andrei Arlovski, all while avoiding UFC competition.
Please. I want to hear how that compares to ANY four+ year period of Anderson Silva's career post October 14, 2006. Show me the four+ year period in which Silva padded his championship record with freakshows, catchweight contests, and has-beens, and CHOSE to work for a second-tier org.

Weidman's corner man was telling him to hit Silva in the chest any time he started his shit. So they obviously trained a lot for that shit. The way Weidman stepped into Silva makes me think he knew exactly where Silva was going.
