Remembering Ryan Davis, 1979 - 2013

I too would like a ribbon please.

I really can't believe it. I'm legitimately saddened.

RIP.

We had our disagreements but you were always a good person at heart.

RIP Ryan.

Probably going to donate some money to child's play tonight in his name.

I encourage others to do so as well if they wish. Keep happiness spreading for him.

This can not be happening, I just opened NeoGAF after a long work day and see this, my god, no no no, the sadness is consuming me right now

Yeah, I'm kinda shocked they're there too. Gosh, it must be so sad over there. :(

Having just gone through something similar recently...

People are able to bounce back frighteningly quick. It's the six to twelve months afterwards of random breakdowns that start to wear on the soul.

Sometimes keeping busy (for some people) is the best thing to for them.

Laughing too. He was a funny fucking guy and clearly had people around him that enjoyed laughter.

It's terribly sad but if they want to do him justice...they need to laugh.

Ok, I think I've done all the ribbons I can do for now. I'm actually getting a bit emotional from it. :(. Luckily, you guys got some awesome other people throwing stuff together. I'll probably pop in later tonight to see if I can help some.

I think this video should be glorified to exuberance levels!

This is how I felt Ryan Davis lived his life, like a Boss, and bringing smiles to thousands and millions of gamer's and fans around the world.

R.I.P Mr. Ryan Davis, you were taken from us to early. May the Davis family and friends be looked over by your Spirit in twitter form :)

Hope it had nothing to do with lortab based on that deleted tweet. I've seen addictions kill people at a very young age. I hope not. No addiction is worth it and that includes gaming.

Rest in peace.

My age: always hits ya.

When I saw the deleted tweet, I hoped it had nothing to do with that and was just an awful coincidence. But to be posted the day before he died, is heartbreaking. I agree that I hope it was natural causes and had nothing to do with any complications from medications or addiction. I have been there.

I am 36 and this really was an eye opener for me. Life is short for all of us. Hug your families and make sure your after death preparations are in place no matter your age.

RIP Ryan Davis

The OP post title hit me hard. Like...my mouth is open and wow...He was only 2 years older than me...he just got married...I don't...my heart goes out to his wife, family, and the GB crew.

I just can't close my mouth, I am in shock.

My favorite giantbomb video of all time. That's how I'll always remember him.

RIP Ryan. You will be sadly missed.

What a shock to the system.

I have kept all the E3 & later bombcasts in reserve, for when I felt I needed them. I don't know if or when, I will be able to listen to them now.

If someone would be willing to photoshop the ribbon for my avatar, I'd really like to pay my respects.

Ryan was a year younger than me... this really makes you consider how short life can be.
