Then we're not on the same page because the point I'm making is that EMP is poorly managed team. There is a problem when Triforce can't plan for his team to go to EVO in advance. There's a huge problem when the community had to step in to donate so they can get signed up at the last minute. And in case you missed the last point I made, good sponsors take care of their players.

Instead of speeding up though, SF4 switches to a different "low life warning" track. I don't think it sounds good in SF4.
It's his fault that the tickets hadn't been purchased well in advance, saving money and avoiding the situation altogether.

But it's nowhere near guaranteed to get it in that timeframe. Family has had people not be able to go on cruises due to that.
Could it be the people have screwed up? Yep, definitely. You still never want to tempt it though.
That's besides the point, though. I guess my real point was wondering why VxG was asking. They should get the ticket and provide it, promptly, so Jail could've gotten the passport in order. The way the interaction went it just didn't seem like they were overflowing with the $$. I.e., what they did is what *I* would do if I was intentionally trying to make it so the guy didn't have a passport and then I wouldn't need to get a ticket.
Additionally, it's not like it's $5 to renew or get a new passport, if I were Jail and it seemed like VxG wasn't going to come through, I'd probably have dragged my feet too rather than waste cash.

You can get a passport in just a handful of days if you're willing to pay the passport fee + $60 fee + Overnight shipping both ways (About $250~300 at the end of the day)
They've improved, then, good on them. Lot of money, though.

do you guys think Nova/Frank/Dante could win EVO? It always seemed like one of the best teams with Nova on it (note: not best Nova teams since he is better with a beam), but nobody good plays it.

I think you got a long version of why it's not good that EMP at the 11th hour swoops in with cash to fly out their players. Its not cool that their players have to ask for donations when the whole point of belonging to a team is that they're sent to majors. It's embarrassing for the players and it makes their team management looks incompetent.

Jailhouse only needs a passport renewal not a new passport. That takes less time and money. He blew himself up pretty bad for making that thread. This was one case that the player procrastinated and tried to blame Triforce.

One of the most interesting thing that came to light regarding the EMP crisis is Dieminion's loyalty to EMP or rather the lack thereof. Triforce should keeps his friends closer or risk ending up a corpse like Koogy.

So he was hamstringing them, they put pressure on him and he some how forced the sponsors to cough up the money last minute Riiiiight.
We don't know what agreements he has with the sponsors, regarding money to fly players to events and your right he should have a rainy day stash around.
Maybe one of the gods if they played the team but the team would still struggle against MorriDoom of ChrisG. Now if ChrisG played that team then yea... it would have a legitimate shot.
I think if met with a zoning team you would have to switch Frank with Strider for the full screen coverage or a Beam assist.
Its not the best Nova team.. but its close to being the best Frank team. I think the absolute best Frank team would be Doom on point with Plasma Beam. He can get Frank leveled up in a basic BnB ending in aerial Photon Array while also providing him with a full screen Beam. Dante is a must for Frank so you can never drop him.

It's going to be difficult for any Frank or Dante team to reach top 8 in EVO, let alone win EVO. Frank is too much of a liability competitively because he sucks without being leveled up, while anchor Dante can make comebacks but not frequently do that.
Frank is a liability but in an optimized team he is a better character than even Zero when leveled up. The chip from his normals is insane, if he gets you in the corner you are almost always dead... and when you die once you have a good chance of not getting to play. Getting in is not even a problem for lvl4 Frank, he only has to get in within 5 character length of the opponent after which he can let his normals, assists or roll do the work.
And Frank has true guard break set ups in this game which as far as I can tell no competitive player has used in a tournament setting yet.

I would imagine NRS is doing this port, especially considering they're working on the DLC still and probably in pre-production for whatever their next game is.
I think if High Voltage or some external studio is doing the port it will be a wrap. Not that I trust NRS will make a good port either, but I'd rather in-house than out.
The PC thread seemed to be fairly positive outside of the online, which was awful on consoles as well. It is simply a given that Midway/NRS games are relatively awful online.
You're making a lot of assumptions here. The worst one being that anything Triforce says is true.

If you actually talk to guy, he's just a genuine dude...just has some questionable managing ideas that somehow tend to work out (i.e Dieminion). The dude isn't as Tin-Foil Hat-ish as people think either. A lot of the shit he says that's going to happen tends to actually happen....

I've been back and to Japan a half dozen times and I haven't had to supply my passport to the airline company at all. I've had to supply it for my Visa when I moved here to work but not for visiting the country though. Most countries only require you send the Passport ahead if they're processing a special long-term visa as I recall but most of the time, you can just get a visitor's one at Customs in country.
You misunderstand where the negativity behind Triforce stems from. People just didn't start hating him out of the blue and casting doubt over everything he does, he earned that title through being perpetually shady and unprofessional, and the stories that have come out of EMP.
And that's not really how it works with regards to calling them idiots. Subordinates are not necessarily idiots just because the head honcho is one, and it's not like all of those guys haven't been exempt from criticism on GAF either, the majority of the reactions have been criticism.
In social situations, context overrides the bare rules of the philosophy of logic. It's a way to question why those guys would join up recently, if EMP is some pyramid scheme (said the random anonymous pdf) or some way for Triforce to scam people.
Those players are all in a position to know the guy much better than anyone who posts here (besides Art) and presumably, they are in control of their lives and not trying to put themselves at major risk, but you'd think he was scummy criminal going by what people say in this thread. It's like some of you are waiting for something major to come up to confirm their beliefs. And when it doesn't pan out, like the most recent debacle, there's no acknowledgment at all.
