If there is ever a DMC5 I will come back full force into either guide making or tutorial making. I almost did one for DMC4 but someone beat me to it and it was more than adequate.

The first game I searched for, I found you lol

DMC3

holy shit your not kidding

Ah, the DMC3 guide with assist by pokey86. A thing of beauty.

The only thing I ever wrote was a quick Titan Difficulty guide for God of War II on Gamefaqs.

dahbomb i have to ask, how hard did you nerdgasm over first learning about Dante being in MvC3? I was just watching a Dante tech vid and thinking to myself, 'I can't believe it actually happened' lol

Probably not quite as much as his nerdgasm once Vergil was revealed.

I practically threw a fucking party.

Am I the only Nintendo fan that doesn't like competitive Super Smash Bros.

I personally can't look at Smash from a competitive standpoint, too much of my childhood on that game was just my friends and I fucking around on Smash 64 and Melee not taking it seriously and just having fun with items and all of the stages (well except Icicle Mountain, fuck that level) that watching competitive Smash just doesn't feel right to me.

Triforce about to come on OBS show

"Ill have you know, the one time I went black, I went back."
"N***A NO YOU DIDN'T"

Triforce reading the letter he sent to NoA. Sounds like they were already on it before he got to them but he did help. They were already in a conference about it when he called.

EDIT: Triforce giving a very thorough description of how Nintendo operates with regards to supporting competitive games.

Knowing it would be his last game appearance sort of soured it, though :(

It's super hilarious in hindsight to play mission 20 in DMC3, though, because Vergil does teleport helm breakers all day and spiral swords is just as dumb as it is in marvel. He also activates that devil trigger x-factor when he starts losing and builds all his life back while one-shotting you. MvC3 Dante and Vergil are pretty amazing adaptations of the characters in fighting game form.

I was more excited that it was the DMC3 version of Dante. When MVC3 announced I knew Dante was a lock but DMC3 Dante was bliss for me because in terms of game play variety he is the best Dante by far.

And then I was even more excited for Vergil, I couldn't believe it. Vergil was a long shot but I had faith and it was rewarded. For these 3 reasons, MVC3 will always have a special place in my heart.

Also I was really, really surprised at Trish in MVC. I am not the biggest Trish fan around but I can respect the pick and they did a great job with all the DMC characters. As a fan I couldn't have asked for more... all the characters were extremely accurate representations of their action game self.

I just got done watching UltraChen EVO edition and it was amazing. So glad our Marvel preview was used as the basis for the discussion but man I am jelly of the Smash Bros guys with their 13 page analysis! Lots of great stories, predictions and player awareness in the episode.... I enjoyed it all and am more hyped for EVO.

Both MVC3 being made and Vergil were more unexpected than Dante in MVC. Dante is a staple character for Capcom, no way they would've launched MVC3 without. Really though he should've been in TvC too but that game was more about the obscure characters.

Vergil was way less iconic and known than Dante at the time. You only knew about him if you played DMC3. He was more a fan favorite but he got great poll results and that's probably how he got in (plus it helps to have some DMC fans on the staff). Still it was a long shot especially when he beat someone like Megaman for the slot.
