Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

Yeah, people mentioned that on Smashboard and GameFaqs. There is a thread where people would believe that light ball is actually came from Palutena.

Can't be, her light attacks are typically blue (with the exception of her blinding attack)

I'm guessing it's either WFT's neutral or down B, since most (if not all) of her other moves are accounted for.

I usually avoid the character pandering and character shitting message boards as they don't really provide meaningful discussion.

Boils down to

Fan 1: I want this character

Fan 2: lolno we need more females

Fan 1: lolno they have too many reps already

Fan 2: lolno your character can't fight

as well as the nonsense around certain characters being too big or too small to fight correctly or too many characters with pointed sticks or lame arguments on character uniqueness and so on and so forth.

All in all it's best to ignore it if nothing is obviously plausible.

Then why are you here? We did that, like several times.

Also I have heard reasonable arguments ( in here anyway) for all of those things. Actually the too many pointy sticks argument is the reason blade didn't get into Marvel3. So that isn't really a lame argument, its something even devs think about, character uniqueness and all that.

Not saying all boards are neo gaf doe. I am just wondering if that is your criteria for staying out, why are you here?

Because NeoGAF is pretty cool when they discuss these things. Unlike other places.

hmm, makes sense.

I have seen some shit on some other websites. Like someone going on a rant about how sonic does not need to be in brawl, and some other sonic related rant.

It was funny, that was years ago though,

*wipes tear* Makes me think back to when Pokemon Trainer was announced. I made the thread on Smash Boards, and although PT wasn't the one who was directly playable, it was awesome to see so many people silenced. :)

Yeah, I'm glad we can at least sometimes avoid that around these parts. It definitely happens, but I think it's sort of inevitable. We'd all love to be able to play as our favorite characters. Can't blame anyone for that.

I want Dark Pit. He could utilize different KI:U weapons in his attacks and be a completely new character.

It'd be more interesting aesthetically to have the Soldier from multiplayer serve that role, as Dark Pit will most likely be a Pit Color Swap again.

Haven't played KI:U, so don't know what other differences Pit2 and Pit have.

I can't help but think that having Pitoo or Dark Samus or Dark Link or similar "it's an evil/anti-hero clone of the hero!" characters would just come off as Good Cole/Evil Cole nonsense, regardless of how differently they play.

I think the Sun Salutation might be the Wii Fit Trainer's standard special move, actually. As you hold down the B button you'll go through the five poses that make up the Sun Salutation, with the sun growing larger as you pass through each. You can release B at any point during the move to end it and set off an explosion. The first pose has a small, weak explosion, the second is a bit larger and more powerful, and so on.

That would be pretty neat actually. That is better than my customization theory because we know so little about it. For all we know it could only originate from the 3dS version and have to be magically transferred to the WiiU.

The multiplayer mode is something that's just there to give the game more replay value. I understand wanting SM3DW to have online, but who cares about Pikmin 3's multiplayer having online?

I do and I'm sure many others do too. Just look at Super Mario 3D World, Nintendo's flagship franchise shipping without the perfect opportunity to have online coop.

If Nintendo won't do it for its first party franchises and prove how fun the Wii U can be in THIS day and age against competition that has fully embraced online gaming, why should a gamer like me who LOVES cooperative experiences with his friends around the world care about buying a local only game at launch for $60 when the replay value is very limited?

Take any of Nintendo's franchises that have local coop only (New Super Mario Bros. U), add online coop with a wealth of other online features and you will see Nintendo's sale figures increase.

If the next Smash's online is crap, my Wii U will probably die shortly thereafter as I continue to play Smash 64 online B]

It's also worth noting that Wii Fit activities are divided into four groups: yoga, strength training, aerobics, and balance games. The Wii Fit Trainer's special moves appear to correspond with this; we've seen Sun Salutation (yoga), hula hoop (aerobics), and soccer heading (balance game). I suspect her fourth special move will be based on one of the strength training exercises, though none of them look flashy enough to work as a special move. Either that or she'll use the Wii Balance Board in some way.

Ahhh you guys are making me more excited to try out the Wii Fit Trainer. This wait is going to kill me, and I'm already dead from the Brawl wait that killed me.

The Balance Board should come into play. It was jumping around in the background of her announcement video, and it's a character in and of itself in Wii Fit. I'd really think they'd want to include it in at least one of her moves.

Her volleyball spike is a smash attack, right? I cant remember but who else has had a smash attack with a projectile other than Snake?

Its killing me too but ill be ok with some info every now and then. I need mah Saints Row to hold me over for awhile. I might try to play kid icarus also.

True

We've seen the Balance Board character in the background of the Wii Fit stage though, in addition to standard balance boards acting as platforms in the stage. I guess it doesn't exclude her from using it somewhere, though.

Well that would seem kinda like overkill, wouldn't it? Maybe she won't use a Balance Board move, then. None of the Pokemon Trainer's lineup were featured on the Pokemon levels. That'd be confusing and weird.

Yeah, maybe no Balance Board for WFT.

Pretty much. I would like to think that

Sun Salutation would be B+down
Hula Hoop would be B+up
Volleyball Spike would be B+Side

Probably. I would like to think that Balance Board would remain be in background.

The Balance Board character and Balance Board hardware are two different things, though. I imagined the Wii Fit Trainer's final special move being something along the lines of stepping onto a Balance Board and having a number appear over her head, resulting in some kind of brief stat boost. There really isn't much else to pull from the source material that would make sense. She could ride a bicycle or something, but Sakurai might want to avoid overlap with Wario's chopper.

Perhaps she'd have to keep a pose while holding B for a slight stat boost, and the longer you hold it the better it s, but being hit out of it could penalize you somehow.

Not a bad idea regarding the Soldier (I think they are actually called 'Fighters' but whatever). I do like that character design.

As far as why Dark Pit when Pit is already in the game, there are a number of reason. Mostly I just want to see more weapons showcased. Dark Pit's inclusion would also allow Sakurai to further distinguish him from Pit which would be helpful for the sequel.

Where are these from? Are there more?

They're models from Brawl horrifically skewed onto another character's animation skeleton. I'm not sure about the Peach one, but the second one is Olimar doing Luigi's final smash dance. Peach might be a Goomba, actually...

My favorite model animation swap's always been Pikaman, though (Pikachu model, Captain Falcon animations).

Seriously, that looks surprisingly non-offensive. Just hilarious.

Found mine here when randomly looking for #ambition pictures (seriously, that Flash series, what the hell was that).

Funny that you'd mention that! I was just watching a playthrough of it on Youtube the other day. What a weird (and very poorly acted) flash series.

No, it was Ganondorf's animation. I know that because of this:

That's Ganondorf's d-tilt. =P

EDIT: Guess I better post why this GIF even came into being: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZDgjjDnWLM&t=5m10s

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

There is a thread where people would believe that light ball is actually came from Palutena.
Why do people always come up with these conclusions? Sakurai has never sneak in things like that before a character reveal...

That's gross? With the top hat, monocle, and cane I think it's hilarious. It's like Pikachu is doing one of those... uh... dances in musicals I can't remember the names of.

(Unless you are talking about the Peach and Krystal GIFs above. Ew.)

I remember when the first SSE cinematic was revealed, people were going crazy for the cannonball hitting Mario was obviously from K. Rool. Good times.
