Not necessarily. Ryu doesn't necessarily have a great way of doing a lot of damage to Akuma outside of good tootsies and punishing.

One sweep from Akuma and lord knows what he's going to do next.

Watching this is reaffirming my belief that KOF 13 should have been the last game for finals. It sits exactly in between the pace of SF 4 and MvC 3; the perfect pace. Excellent fighting game to watch.
