Evolution 2013 IOT2I Gods Among Losers Final Day - July 14th

Wiser Words Have Never Been Spoken

Nah i like this one much more because of the character that win it .
Plus the Top 8 we saw so many characters you don't normally see.

The finale itself wasn't very close. I enjoyed the top 8 play more. Which was probably the best top 8 play ever seen in SFIV.

That Leafa [Sword Art Online]!

Is it wrong that I recognized the figure [company/character] as well as the dakimakura [Leafa/Sword Art Online] right away?

If it is, I don't want to be right!

*chrono01 jumps into his pile of dakimakura's and figures*

I thought it was an Idolm@ster miki dakimakura...curses

I gotta watch that Jwong/ChrisG set again-- Jwong's timing on his assist calls, his movement, everything was just surgical. No blaming the PS3 or anything, that was some of the most honest Marvel you can get.

What was the Aksys announcement?
There was never an Aksys announcement. It was just a dude who plays P4A. People misunderstood his tweet and then blew it up to be a big Aksys announcement. His wording could have been better. Still, no one should have any reason to be mad at him.

It was a toss-up between SFIV and KOFXIII for me.

The most enjoyable set of matches for me, though, was the after-hours/money-match of USA VS Japan.

Perfection.

hey where can i watch the p4a after hours stuff

eh he shouldn't have added the "especially #P4U" part.

the figure and pillow weren't even persona themed

SMASH BROS MELEE

THE #2 MOST POPULAR FIGHTING GAME ON EARF.

Smash Bros could easily become the most popular given it's mass market appeal (an 11 years old game scoring 134K is insane no matter how you look at it). If the new game is competitive to an acceptable level, it should leave the Capcom games in the dust.

Wow..really great EVO. Heard that KOF at EVO this year was good. I gotta watch that later.

I only tuned into Top 8 finals of SSF4 AE. Infiltration vs PR Balrog was some GREAT stuff. Xian finally taking it!

Congrats to Xian! Putting Singapore on the map! WOOT!

I started watching because of Melee originally, but ended up watching other games as well. Awesome tournament, loved what I saw.

I've hardly ever played any fighting games besides Smash. They look intimidating, but super fun at the same time. Maybe now would be a good time to try to get into fighting games!

I love how the matches are one right after another. No breaks. I wish other eSports events would so it like that.

IMO, I think SF was the better GF. I mean, UMVC3 is my game and all and my peoples lost (Christ Geezus and Fchamp) so I wasn't emotionally invested in that GF. However, Jwong was just...amazing to say the least and to get that far on just skill alone is pretty freaking amazing.

Xian on the other hand. He was always my favorite to win evo. After he beat diago in that f10 it was all high hopes from there on out. He's the best.

I'm so happy for Xian and it's well deserved, but man did I want to see Justin take it with Wolvie/Storm/Akuma. Flocker is a machine though, people worried too much about ChrisG all year and not enough about Flocker.

Marvel was the best. I would've been through the roof if Justin won, but I got nothing against Flocker. The hype had me rooting for Justin.

Imagine if Chris G won against Justin? Then it would've been a SOUL SOUL SOUL SOUL train through the loser's brackets, opponents flailing around in the air trying to wait out the hyper but she gains enough meter for chip to immediately activate another anyways. It would've been so boring. Instead, it was incredibly intense and exciting back and forths, amazing mixups and reads and moments. That's why we love Marvel.

Been watching Evo ever since they started streaming it and this has been one of the best. I really need to make the trip out sometime, even if I just spectate.

The great part about Evo is that everyone can see the best each community has to offer, get hype, and earn respect. Melee did that today as KOF has for the past two Evos.
