US/CAN Club Nintendo Thread: New and improved. Read the OP.

To Gaffers here. I am currently at Platinum but i am unable to get any of the Platinum reward.(Due to me located in Asia.T_T)

So i wanted to look for people who are interested in trading my Platinum reward with 20 bucks Nintendo Point card or Fire Emblem Club Nintendo codes.
 
If any fellow GAFfers are serious that they don't want their reward, and are feeling generous , I would be eternally grateful for Link's Awakening DX, Super Mario Land, or Sakura Samurai.

I didn't make gold status this year. Funny enough, I actually did have enough pin codes to make it, but I donated a couple to a fellow member so they could get the Gold Nunchuck. Then I lost my job, and struggling to get by on the barest of necessities since I need most of my cash reserve for my medications, made it impossible to buy anything so I could get to the gold level.

May i ask here if you had Fire Emblem Club Nintendo code there? If you had one, i would probably trade for you any gift(For Plat or Gold) that you want here.
 
As much as the posters were cool and I've been meaning to get Link's Awakening DX for a while now, I can't say no to the MM OST. I've got a small collection of Zelda soundtracks including the OOT3D freebie, the sampler from Skyward Sword and ZREO's Twilight Symphony. What can I say, I'm just a big Zelda fan.

I am kind of surprised there isn't a single Luigi related reward though. Apparently Super Luigi U was the swan song of their "celebration."

Tried logging in and going through this in Firefox on an actual computer, and it's still giving me this crap:
Your address could not be validated as entered. Please check all fields.
What do I do?! There's nothing wrong with my address, wtf needs to be "validated"? D:

*edit* finally figured it out, stupid Americans, I needed to put the postal code without the space like a zip code :/ Well now my free calender is ordered, yay! :3

I'd recommend just asking around on here first. I got the posters, but I'm not too attached to any of em, so I'm betting there's plenty of people like me willing to give a GAFer a price break.

Grabbed the posters. Really liked the look of the Pikmen 3 and Wind Waker posters. Didn't really care for the Majora's Mask CD.

Never played Sakura but if you haven't played Link's Awakening and are a Zelda fan, I'd go with that.
 
Ugh... I'm not too crazy about the options for Platinum this year. I could get a calendar, but I often use something else or my friend sends me one (she sent me a TinTin one for this year). I have SSB, SML and LADX so either the posters or the MM OST would be my choices.

I'm leaning towards the MM OST but dunno about the quality.
 
Picked up Super Mario Land, because I either have everything, or don't want it... this is definitely the worst year... that includes the year I got Doc's Punch-Out!! and gave the code away...
 
I'm split between the Majora's Mask soundtrack and Sakura Samurai. Can someone with experience on the latter extol the virtues (or lack thereof) of the latter? Is it worth free, beyond the value of the other loot?
 
Sakura Samurai is a fine game, but might as well get the Majora's Mask soundtrack and buy the game—one is readily available, the other is unique to this promotion.

This is coming from someone who thoroughly enjoyed Sakura Samurai.
 
Hmm. I could care less about any of the prizes, so I went with Majora's Mask soundtrack.

If anyone would like to trade, PM me. I'm not really asking for anything in particular. Maybe a previous year's Platinum prize?
 
I have all of my Club Nintendo Platinum prizes displayed, except obviously Doc Louis's Punch Out.

The best is still the Mario Statue. What's cool about it is that the ? Block it came in is also a neat display piece, never mind the statue itself.

I'm pretty sure most people who have been Club Nintendo members since the beginning would agree that the Mario Statue was the peak. I wonder why the Elite prizes have gotten weaker and weaker since. Posters can be cool and an OST is nice but these are things that you'd think would be regular CN prizes. I used to think of Elite Status as more of a chance for something unique.

It looks like it's going to be really good. Ignore the picture they have on the website, this is a re-issue of the double CD, so it's not actually a cheap cardboard case CD with like 7 songs. It's going to be fairly massive.

For me, it's a no brainer this time around. MM OST all the way.
 
Picked up LoZ:MM OST :) Has anyone tried to return to the screen and click a second item? I went back to the screen after receiving the email confirmation and the selection comes up again...kind of want to try clicking a second one ;)

Also, is Smash Bros. on the Virtual Console already?

That happened last year too. Click away but it won't work. It's just a glitch. You can't actually order a second item, it won't let you.

I believe Smash bros has been on VC for awhile now, but I'm not 100% on that. I never paid much attention, SB has never been my bag, baby.

Well, I would have waited to pick if I had originally intended to trade, but I thought, "Well, I don't want the posters. I don't want a game that I can buy for less than 10 bucks. I guess I'll pick the soundtrack."

I'll be happy enough to keep it if I have to, but I don't really care for the Zelda series that much. I've never even played Majora's Mask. That's the only reason I would want to trade.

Definitely hyped for it now. Tough part is figuring out which CD to play first... Might just go in order.

EDIT: And yes, I actually enjoy listening to actual CDs from time to time. I'm sorry, guys. ;_;
 
I just placed my order for the Majora soundtrack.

The only other Platinum gift I have is the 2010 Mario statue, which is really cool. Hoping for a similar Zelda one someday.

Got the soundtrack. Little underwhelmed this year.

They should have thrown in all the digital stuff with it, not like it costs them anything other than some bandwidth.
 
Should have been the Super Smash Bros Brawl OST. Now that my friends would have been an OST award worth platinum status!

Man, they really need to up their game for Platinum rewards. This year's Platinum rewards should be Gold. And their Gold rewards besides the calender are flat out insulting. SSB for the N64? Really!?!

I went with the MM Soundtrack. They need to relax with all these damn posters.

Yeah, I ended up going with the CD as I still have the posters from last year in their tube so no sense in getting the posters; I did like the Luigi one but I know that I probably will never have taken it out of the tube if I got posters again.

I wish club nintendo gave me the option of trading in everything i have for gold nunchuck. Still salty about it since i bought a wii u to get enough points for it
 
I was bummed to see the Game and Watch Collection 2 DS game go away, because I was saving up for it, but I got the actual Game and Watch replica which was rad.

Not sure which Elite reward I'll go with, but leaning towards the posters. I like the Luigi love.
