So... is this a confirmation? (via @Wario64)

Wow I hope Phil had not started coding already.

It's really your guys' fault with all the bad things you say about him! No wonder he's so rebellious.

(god it's so hot when he verbally assaults people and acts like a cock at the expense of decent people oooohhh~)

Yup, high school girls.

He needs to seek professional help.

First things first, he needs to escape the internet and block everything out. Develop Fez 2 in silence.

Clearly he's not the kind of person that handles criticism well...he should permanently stay away from criticism magnets like Twitter and forums.

You might as well quote him. Marcus Beer neither is a games journalist nor does he identify himself as one. But please, don't let facts stop you from shitting on "games journalism".

My purely tongue in cheek post was about you pulling things from your ass, much like you're doing now. Nowhere in my post do i "ignore facts to shit on games journalism" or even mention Marcus Beer.

Stop jumping through hoops.

I wouldn't say that at ALL. Beer's comments may have been bad, but history proves that Fish has had more jabs at others (via Twitter) than anyone involved in this whole shitfest.
Fish has proven to be a tool over and over in the past and he's been horrendous again, but Beer's comments were vicious and were unwarranted. He explained himself but I don't think it was wise to lash out to a person who has a known history like that.

People startet hating him because of his scenes in the Indie game movie and a few comments he made about Japanese developers. It all escalated from there to ridiculous levels. Yes, he is partly to blame for that because of the way he responds to insults.

I agree.

You're underestimating that he's only partly to blame. If you can't handle insults from any random person on the internet, then don't reply at all.

I doubt it...and if true he is overreacting. Marcus Beer was being a complete unprofessional moron. He could have made his points better but he has an 'image' to keep I suppose. Not really worthy of an overreaction

If you picked a side in this twitter slapfest you still lost. Phil can't say 'no comment' because he's phil, but AnnoyedGamer is a professional cuntswizzle and is doing himself no favors by puffing himself up as necessary for video game promotion.

He has a GAF account AFAIK

So he needs to use it more. If he gets out of control and tell people to suck his dick or go kill themselves, he'll be banned, and if people treat him the same way, they'll be banned, so he has no reason to deffend himself, only his opinions.

I honestly think he'd fit fine here, or at least be banned quickly before a shitstorm comes out of this.

Anytime I see Phil Fish drama and the Andy Kaufman avatar in his twitter account, I can't help but think he's the one having the most fun.
Anytime I've seen him on camera and he talks about the Twitter drama he pouts and acts like a victim.

No, he's not having a laugh. He's a diva that's so self-absorbed that he doesn't understand the cause-and-effect of his situations.

Based on your previous posts, you're defending him in the exact same way that we've pointed out how his fans defend him.

"We've"?

All of my previous posts made it very clear that I still think his comments, such as the "go kill yourself" one were out of line, the only other thing I said was that Marcus too was responsible for what happened. If I'm "defending" him because I think both parties involved were responsible, then so be it.

And again all I said was that your post was pretty offensive.

Every single video game has some detractors. Every product has idiots hating on it and criticizing it for various reasons (some warranted, some unwarranted).

Mr. Fish has shown an inability to handle any type of criticism, dwelling on stupid comments and reacting in a over-the-top, childish manner.

He just needs to get out...whether that means seeking professional help with mental instability issues, or just blocking out all criticism and having some confidence in the quality of his product...something needs to happen.

Considering how Phil Fish currently has at least a million from FEZ, might as well take his time to relax and go on a vacation and get away from all the stress of game making for now.

It's for the best really, hope he comes back a calmer, better man.

Well, you can call him whatever your want, that's your good right. But he got publicly insulted for not commenting on something that wasn't even released as news yet - and also his game got insulted as well for no fucking reason

I'm well aware that Fish has a polarizing personality (I'm neogaffing a lot you know), but he's right on this one

a lof of the hate fish is getting these days is from people really invested on microsoft ecosystem XD

You didn't say the "kill yourself" comment was out of line at all. In fact you said this.

Its the fact that he made his Twitter account private, and the tweets he sent to Marcus before hand that make it seem like he may have actually cancelled the game. I still don't understand how it's a "joke."

Also that "kill yourself" comment is a Futurama reference.

Defending Phil Fish is one thing, shrugging off a comment that one should commit suicide is another.
