So how many more great terrible FMV games are left for Vinny to play? I want to see him play all of them. Sort of like an Encyclopedia Bombastica but just for really bad FMV games.
 
Just watched the QL for Citadels and didn't understand why they were being so hard on the game (Brad especially). Brad just kept talking about the Steam forums being unhappy with the game but didn't give any inkling as to why, which I found really annoying. When the game crashed I thought that was the reasoning but then Brad asked something like "Oh, has the game crashed on you before?" so I guess that wasn't the issue he kept referring to. Yeah, the wall-building seemed a bit finicky and maybe it's a little slow moving but it didn't seem worthy of the hate they were giving (again, mainly Brad). Makes me think he was just eager to just jump on the bandwagon instead of giving the game any sort of chance, but that wouldn't be the first time he's done something like that.
 
Is there anybody who'd be willing to do a small piece of Ryan-related art for us for us for free? Yes! Free! I know -- how enticing -- but we're a non-profit show and I have no money for anything. I have an idea in mind for a cover for our Ryan Davis Memorial (Summer Jams edition -- that link is to the regular, not-musical edition), but I'm nowhere near capable enough to draw it. Any type of help would be very appreciated.
 
Really entertaining Unprofessional Friday this week. That chair with the driving wheel and pedals attached looks awesome, and I think that'd be the only way for me to get into iRacing.

I felt sorry for Alexis at the end, but I still laughed. Brad is an ice cold dude.

Did you watch to the bit where it crashed? I think Vinny was saying that he'd never gotten past the tutorial because its unstable.
 
Vinny listed and showed many things that were bad about the game. Like how the guys went back to get stuff when you want to build, how the tower-wall stuff was pretty broken, how he couldn't even find the ore and right at the beginning, when the game called something by a wrong name in the tutorial. Also, there was no auto-save when it crashed. I guess it doesn't get better later on.
 
Anyone else out there been having issues with the Boxee app this weekend? I load it up and no menus or content to see. sad panda.

Haha well... In my original comment I did say I got to that part, and so I assumed that's why they were harsh on the game, but then Brad said something along the lines of "Oh has it crashed on you before?" in a sincere manner. So he was hating on the game without knowing that it had crashing issues.

Boxee is sadly dead, mate. On Friday I couldn't get the stream to run smooth, constantly buffering. I don't know how long they'll keep updating it.
 
I'm rewatching Drew's race from Friday and god, I hope Vinny follows through with that racing/driving marathon stream.

Also, on a side note, I've been listening to bombcasts while playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 and when your driver gets tired he starts to loudly yawn and my initial assumption is always that it's Brad on the podcast before I realise that it's actually the game.

Me too, only I really hope they don't attempt a 24 hour (or similarly long) race and instead hold a mini championship - perhaps across multiple games.

A 24 hour race without skilled players would be utter bollocks.
 
So I was looking through a list of FMV games to see the pool Vinny could potentially pick from, and saw the title of a game I remember returning to an EB in the late nineties because it wouldn't run on my PC. The game takes its title directly from a murder that took place in the 40s, which I was certainly aware of before, but didn't actually remember until I went and googled the damn thing. Google's safe search failed to intervene and now I have no appetite.

Yeah. I didn't mention the name just to put that extra step in the way of someone happening on it by chance, but I guess it's trivial to find it anyway. People will have varying reactions to stuff like this; I'm not that bad, but I wasn't exactly prepared for it while googling video games :(

saltybet would just take the embed link for Bazza's twitch stream (I assume only he has that link, could be wrong) and place it on the saltybets.com homepage

saltybet then just places the correct names and stuff into the betting robot. He could probably get the odds from whoever was doing those computer rankings, given some work
 
I just realized this cause it's gonna affect me too, but the bart strike is going to kill Vinny this week. Good thing Alex is coming to help I guess? :/
