Phantasy Star Online 2 costumes are going to be released as DLC for Soul Sacrifice, Sega and Sony have announced. The two outfits below will be available as free DLC to Soul Sacrifice players in Japan starting on August 29th:

Curious if we'll get these on the US/EU versions. Probably not, another thing Sega gets to rub in our face by not bringing over state-side.

Lock if old, etc..

Obligatory where the fuck is my PSO2 in the West post.

But yeah, don't count on the DLC to hit here if Sega has any say in it given their plans for PSO2.

It's crazy how Phantasy Star Portable 2 made it considering the PSP's software situation at the time, yet they're holding out on PSO2 for all platforms. Maybe there's any unknown factor or two holding up localization.

Stop contributing towards PSO2

SEGA has clearly shown that they really couldn't give a flying fuck about the western fans that've been waiting for it.

You'll feel better when you forget the game even exists. They missed their entry point. Heavy hitters are coming out now. FFXIV, Wildstar, Elder Scrolls Online, and Everquest Next.

Fuck you SEGA, and fuck you PSO2 team <3

Sega just has the oddest track record for localizations. They can do great stuff like finally bringing us a Hatsune Miku game, yet turn right around and ignore yakuza or PSO2

It's cause they're holding it back for a simultaneous PC/PS4 launch in the west, but they can't say anything before the JP lineup titles are announced... Right? Right?!?

;_;

Neat!
It's a shame they're not doing a reverse cross-promotion seeing as how I don't have the Japanese version of Soul Sacrifice but I do for Phantasy Star Online 2.

The Japanese PSO 2 has a constant flurry of content, so maybe Sega is worried that they cannot keep the translation up, and that if they don't put both versions on par, people will be disinterested knowing that Japan has much more content. Though I don't know why they can't just have one version that everyone can play across the world.

Miku doesn't require a lot of translation and they aren't even going to translate the PV's so they're pretty much looking for quick money.
