Adam Sessler"Titan Fall one of the Most Enjoyable things I've played at a Convention"

Everyone who's played it absolutely loves it. Can't wait to try it out myself.

That won't be for a while unfortunately :/ Easily the most tempting thing on XBOX One at the moment though.

Really don't get the hype for this. I suppose most of it is self created by the industry.

The mechs are an interesting concept to add into an infantry TDM I guess. Wall jumping and some refined bunny hopping have been round for ages though, perhaps not to this extreme or scale but still.....

No doubt it will sell, I'm probably just out of touch these days.

You don't see the hype?!?!!? It's COD + Attack on Titan. GG.

It looks fun as hell to play. May not be the prettiest piece of eye-candy but bouncing around the world via jetpack, or jumping into a Titan and shooting dudes, it just looks really good fun. Feels like old-school crazy FPS fun.

It's literally all my friend is talking about since he got a chance to play it at Gamescom.

Game just looks flat out incredible.

Or you haven't played it, like the people who write about it, like me. I think this is the best MP shooter I have played since COD4. I think a lot of the negativity stems from people who haven't played it, have no idea how amazing the controls work, how great the pacing of it is or just hate the exclusivity.

For me this game is the reason to get a Xbone next year, but not before a price drop.

It looks cool, but it's a multiplayer only game. The multiplayer looks good, but I have a hard time getting excited about a game with no single player campaign. I guess it almost veers into that MMOFPS genre that makes little sense to me.

Maybe it's something I'll "get" later on.

Nah it's the same people that keep buying COD and giving it great reviews. It's not new, it's not very special but the people who like it want nothing else. Well maybe titans haha.

like the first time I picked up Warhawk...some games just click with an audience.

I'm PS4 all the way, but this is the one title I'm sad to see not on the platform a bit, will be sad if it doesn't makes its way over or another game will similar concepts doesn't come. I won't miss it likely, but anyone hating on the game is not giving it it's just due, different take on the fast-pace fps MP, and just looks like good fun.

Now the hype, I think that's just western media's general obsession with the fps perspective and not so much mech are the coolest thing ever.

im with you.the game looks fun but there is a lot of hiperbole and prefabricated hype, remember all these journous who are tired of shooters and cod?

LOL @ the haters already in here. The game looks incredible. Will be my first MP only experience and i cant wait for this.
i dont hate the game,so cut the crap

I think that's pretty much it. Everyone whose played this said it's great that tells me that it's going to be a very decent game unless a vast media conspiracy has been hatched to push this for some reason.

Which would be silly and borderline tinfoil hat territory.

These guys have always been good about finding that gaming sweet spot that's very important in an FPS especially for repeatability. That's why the groundwork they laid down in Modern Warfare still works even though their no longer with that studio.

And I expect the same gaming sweet spot to be in TitanFall.

Titanfall does look pretty ace. I'll be getting a PS4, but I'll suffer Origin to play Titanfall assuming it reviews well and has a decent amount of content.

Attack on Titan is a concept much cooler than this...if you're referring to the amazing manga/anime that is.

but yeah, I agree, right when COD is reaching it's "getting old" phase, this is a nice breath of fresh air and could be a new trend.

I want to try it, but I'm afraid it will attract the COD kiddies and I really dislike the atmosphere they create in the game from the cursing to rage quitting. It really just makes the game not that fun anymore. I'll wait for the reviews of how the community is before I even think of buying it.

Playing it on PC would probably solve that problem, if that's an option for you.

I'm just worried the game will be too accessible and easy to play like CoD. None of the guns looked like they had recoil, titans killed soldiers with damn near a single bullet from their chainguns.

I'm not really into the "I saw you first so I win" type of multiplayer CoD offers. This looks like it could fall into that trap.

Just mute everybody.

Well if it plays half as good as it looks in motion then I have no reason to disbelieve Sessler.

It seems to be all about mobility, so the lack of recoil will help when you're bouncing around the map. Also, the Titans really should kill infantry fast else there is little point having them in the game.

It does not seem to be as insta kill as CoD but we really need to see a full length match going on, since they keep clipping these ones down to a shorter length.

I think that's pretty much it.

That's pretty much why I put that caveat in. CoD is extremely popular but I haven't played properly since World at War and CoD4. Those were the last enjoyable experiences for me from that 'franchise'. But I accept it's still hugely popular and people love it. I'm happy a MP game gives them that much joy, it's awesome when you find that game you can play non stop for hours.

My sweet spot is BF4 at the moment, but y'know people have probably looked at BF4 and had their stomach turned. It's all relative. I think the problem is twofold for titanfall:

> The amount of hype - it's just not proportionate to what we've seen. The more hype and exposure something gets, the more people will see it. Some people will be blown away and excited, others will be like 'meh, why is this everywhere? What's so special?';
> Comparisons to CoD - it's nothing like CoD. When people say it's going to be the next CoD, they are referring to sales. Will titanfall really shift more copies than CoD:Ghosts? Will it even shift more than Halo 5?

Just let it grow organically on its own. Don't shove it down our throats. Look at GTA V, every now and again something new releases and the gamers flock to forums and discussion boards and the hype builds itself. In instances like these, it's very much fabricated and pushed out there. I know it's in its infancy of development and still has a long way to go but even Destiny has sort of stood on its own two legs.
