It's funny how the same people calling Sessler a fanboy of MS, are likely the same ones praising Edge magazine's blatant PS4 shilling. The same ones who are quick to throw out phrases like "confirmation bias" when any poster calls them on that shit.
Game does look proper fun. Looks like the child of Hawken and Tribes.
Glad it's coming out for PC. This is the only game that looks appealing on the Xbox One to me. That and shooters on consoles never jive with me due to the controller. Just doesn't compare to M/Kb...
I'm sure there are some people that legitimately don't want to play it... but it seems clear to me that the reason for the hate is about microsoft and not about respawn or titanfall at all. People are aggravated with Microsoft, they don't want a xbox one, and in return they want to see it fail. Microsoft keeps tripping over itself but Titanfall seems to be sitting there waiting to save the system.
It's irrational. The system you hate is going to have a popular and fun game. Deal with it.
It's funny, a bunch of people play TitanFall and love it and tell us about is, a segment of Gaf thinks they're full of shit. I'm going to side with those who've played it for now.
I don't understand people who still think people are just over hyping it. I mean sure some people exaggerate, but everyone who has played it says it is incredibly fun and one of the most exciting new games. It's like saying a car looks like it would suck to drive, but everybody who has test driven it says it is smooth as silk.
Either way, I can't wait to sink hundreds of hours into it, it looks like insane, fast paced fun.
If the game had some decent TTK and recoil/bullet spread I would be all over it. The only way it's going to be fixed is if they specifically tweak the PC version for mouse users, otherwise it's going to be like every other console shooter we've seen for the past 6 years, which I could care less about.
So, it's Blacklight Retribution with the wallhax removed and replaced with parkour? Meh. Not saying that it won't be a good game, just that it's nothing we haven't seen before.
[Edit] Adam Sessler also has a fairly long track record of being a Microsoft fanboy, so I would question his impartiality on these matters.
I just watched the tutorial for Titanfall that is onscreen before the demo starts that someone posted and it briefly discussed the game featuring "Campaign Multiplayer". I know the game doesn't have traditional SP, but this screams Unreal Tournament MP matches with a story wrapped around it. Hope I'm wrong cause the game is awesome, but that may get repetitive.
Oh and I wanna see the other types of Titans they mentioned at E3. We've only been shown the mechs, but I would assume there is some tank or flying types.

Obviously MS goes to Titanfall booths at trade shows and gives out top hats filled with money to everyone who plays the game. Why wouldn't they say they loved it?
Yeah I didn't see anyone else agreeing with that statement. I don't know why people would continue to be upset about posts that happened pages ago instead of trying to get back on track about the game anyway.

Looks great. I haven't seen it in person but I am mostly amazed at the legs that the Source engine has and what they were able to do with it - again, I haven't seen it in person so I don't know exactly how it looks.
I don't think Sessler is a fanboy but he does get annoying at times (everyone does, no big deal). The one thing I didn't like, and this isn't really his fault but he seemed to embrace it more than anyone else, was the Sharkweek push on Rev3 by their Discovery masters.
Oh for fucks sake already. The game is also coming to PC on the same day. I guess Sessler has a fairly long track record of being a PC fanboy, too, huh?
Not my type of game. But seems to amaze a lot of people. Still though, shipping with no single player campaign is dumb. So like a year or 2 after the game is out, and the servers die off, you basically have a coaster disc?
I played the game at gamescom. I can totally see why shooter fans are all over this game. You just never stop, something happens all the time. That's pretty cool and rad. It's just not really my thing, it's too fast for me. I like the slower multiplayer modes such as The Last of Us and (surprisingly!) Killzone: Shadow Fall.
But even if it's not my cup of tea, I think it's cool and many people will love it, which should make everyone happy!
See, I don't agree that it's all hyperbole. They've all played it. They're doing the job we as games enthusiasts want them to do. And people don't like it, because they all seem to have the same opinion on a game?
I think it's really unfair that the revulsion select people have for Microsoft is walling them from enjoying the news snippets we're getting from this game. The guys at Respawn are really talented and deserve the praise they are getting especially considering their circumstances, and I hope this game is a smash hit for them on all platforms.
Some people genuinly don't like mainstream shooters, fair enough. While many other posts here constitute drive by trolling, deliberate de-hyping and indirect port begging 'It'll come to PS4 eventually'. It's obvious what type of posters these people are, I don't even need to put a label on it.

It is funny how I thought that this was going to get buried by Destiny before E3. Then I saw it at MS E3 conference and my jaws were on floor. Now I think that, if this and Destiny come out at same time, Destiny might be the one to get buried...on Xbone anyway.
To all those shitting on this game...stop. It is fine if you're fundamentally opposed to buying Xbox One. So am I. But don't take it out on this game.

The positive press just keeps coming for this game! I love how fast paced and mobile the game looks - definitely how I tend to play my FPS games. I am sure the inclusion of bots gives even lower skilled players some sense of accomplishment but hopefully the bots aren't complete fodder. If Respawn can effectively encourage randoms to play to the objectives rather than there own KDRs then this will be a game I hope sets the bar for the next generation.
Are there kill streaks? I haven't watched many videos of this, but I didn't really see anything other than perhaps getting access to a Titan. With no perks or killstreaks and well balanced weapons, this game would be amazing. I am concerned that the mobility will require lower health overall which could get very annoying, but if aim-assist is low then the traversal mechanics may be sufficient to escape when getting attacked from behind.
I have very little desire to get the new xbox, but this game is shaping up to be a great show piece. If this offers 4-player local split screen versus bots then I will probably pick it up. Any word on that? Or has the push for online killed such possibilities? And no, for me the PC is not really an option for MP games so xbox, or a future PS4 release, are my only real options.

Yup, you summed it up. This is the one game I am envious of which is not coming out on the PS4 - and like you say, Microsoft is the target for that hate since they are the ones who tied it down as a console exclusive.
Sadly I don't have a good gaming rig at home so as long as this game comes out on the PS4 eventually, I'll live.
