Yeah, I know. I thought it was October 23 for some reason, but now I'm actually kind of happy that it's earlier because I can pick it up at the TRU buy 2 get 1 free sale.

I was going to do it when the PSX emulation on the PSP became possible but after hearing about this port I put it aside and waited (took all the strength I could muster!) but the splurt splurt time is almost here...

if you haven't played this, and have any temptation whatsoever to play on a psp - you owe it to yourself. possibly the best console game of the past decade - certainly the one i've played through the most.

great story, characters, art, customization, and combat engine. my only real complaint is that some of the system abuses were too easy to set up/discover (though these may be fixed in the new version).

i am slightly sad that the atrocious translation is gone though - they should have left it in as an unlockable.

Both..... Jeanne D'Arc is both budget priced at 30 bucks, and is really awesome. Especially the art style. I would get Jeanne D'Arc before it goes out of print, which I think it will...

Hmmm. Odd. They don't even have that listed at the EB/Gamestop website. Just the two new bundles and the old PSP core. My local Best Buy only had Daxter bundles, too.

The only one I can think of that is very high quality would be Disgaea: Afternoon on Darkness. This is like the best time to be a SRPG-loving PSP owner :lol

Fire Emblem will be good (damn Nintendo for releasing it the week before Mario though) but I just don't like Disgaea all that much. It is the only game I have ever fallen asleep while playing.

Jeez, I bought a psp slim on a whim. I did not know this lil puppy was going to be a RTS haven. Soooooo glad. FFT is one of my all time fav, I am in love with j' arc, and Disgaea took up over 100 hours on the ps2 for me. Money well spent.

dunno about the rest of europe, but quite a few places like amazon.co.uk and play.com has tactics for £17.99, which is almost half what retailers are charging and considerably cheaper than other new psp releases
