One of my friends tried out the game during fan expo and wrote what he thought of it

he pretty much loved it, and said the words "I want it" when he was done trying it out - which is pretty fourth coming of a guy who pretty much wrote of the Xbox One since it's announcement. He also couldn't get over how good it looked

Odds are very low as they consider it as a platform, even though it is KI3 in all regards

Much like if street fighter 5 would be called just street fighter

The thing I'm curious about is if they plan to expand on the story of round one characters in later seasons directly

Great write up. Heavy linkers on paper seem a bit...useless to me imo, if it's not worth breaking.

I'm actually curious about the monitor lag. Is it just a con thing?

Really excited for the speed changes.

Heavy Linkers add another aspect to the mind game. If you go for the Light Linker, you'll build a lot of KV and your combo is shorter, but you can always tack on a Shadow Linker for big damage or just go for a reset. If you're behind and need a comeback, you'll go for the Heavy Linker, but the risk of a break is much greater. I couldn't test properly on the laggy monitors, but you can probably break the Heavy Linker on reaction as soon as you see the third hit of the Linker.

As for the monitor lag, it's just MS not understanding competitive fighting games. That same monitor would work fine for FPS, and most PAX attendees probably wouldn't even notice. It's just because I'm a tournament player, that I immediately notice the lag.

People keep whining about the resolution. The more important matter is netplay. Wait and see approach here. And don't forget lobbies with no bs chat crap ala Tag 2 and Tekken R and the ability to boot idled morons.

Having played on the laggy monitors at PAX, I don't think it matters how good the net code is. There are some things in this game that just won't work well online (for competitive players). You won't be able to break anything on reaction. Breaking Shadow Linkers will be pure luck. I mean it'll be fun... but this is a game that requires a perfect connection, and even the really good online in SC5 and TTT2 wouldn't be enough.

If you are listening DH or Max, it feels like a dessert recently compared to the steady rain of awesome KI info that had been falling upon us these past months. It doesn't matter what it is as long as you keep sending a steady morphine drip of KI awesomeness strait into our veins. Keep up the Hype!

At the very least, could you tell us when we can expect more info and the next character reveal/Sadira gameplay?

Whaaat. I really like Thunder's design. Just looks really menacing but noble, powerful and physical. It's Glacius's design that I really dislike. Ice creature, alien, cell, biological organism? Who knows. Just looks like some sludgy over complicated weird mess.

I don't think there's any question we'll see season 2. They'll have to be working on it immediately following season 1 so it's ready in time for next year. Plus they've said multiple times how they're in this for the long haul. I think the better question would be whether we see a season 3.
