Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

The shadows of the buildings and trees at the background go to the left...

The shadows of the plane and characters on it go slightly to the right :P

Nothing to see here--just another airplane passing right above town with people fighting on it.

I don't know why, but I really had the gut feeling Wuhu Island was gonna be shown today. I'm really happy! Everytime I see it, it gives me that little bit of inspiration to keep working on my Wuhu Island for Brawl. I already know this is gonna be my favorite stage for the Wii U version. Haha

I posted these yesterday. There are four versions I'm working on. Day, Night, Sunset, and Plane Ride.

Would be great for this stage if you saw your mii's jogging around the town and some others flying through the air or skydiving something to make the level look lively. I just get that feeling from these screenshots the it will be dull looking.

Yep, Mii's need to populate the island. Skyloft has the same problem with the lack of wandering characters.

Is this really a matter of one or the other?
... Yes? Delfino in Brawl was completely baron for the exact same reason; no point taking a hit to the fps just for a small visual flourish the majority of people won't notice or care about.

Also nice look at Wuhu up-close, though I'm hoping Pilotwings 64 gets a callout somehow.

But nextgen...

The rings are obviously going to indicate the path the plane follows. Seeing as it gets to close to the houses I do hope it gets close enough to that one house with the Mario jingle easter egg.

I had more of a problem with Disco Kid than Giga Mac. I feel like the only PO!! fan that didn't mind the giga idea. It was only in the multiplayer and made that mode much more enjoyable.

But nextgen...

they most likely will add several miis in the plaza area of the island whenever it gets real close but for what you want in your head isnt gonna be possible, we arent talking about 5 people scarred across the place, to be visually effective they would have to have it crowded as in lets say twilight princess where theres people everywhere

My head is not tech so I will just have to trust everyone's word on the issue. But I do know that the Wii U's guts are still a mystery, so maybe those type of details are possible at 60fps, or maybe not.

What is something you want to see?
Maybe a decent-length buff that lets him evade any attack without the player having to manually block/sidestep. Button mash to cancel attack animations to get in more hits without the normal delays. Cancel normal attacks/combos with specials and vice-versa. I think Warioman worked like this.

Now that I'm on the subject I think all characters could use 2 kinds of Final Smashes: 1 that upgrades the character and 1 for a massive attack. Certain Brawl characters had too much of an FS advantage because theirs just lasted longer.

It's mostly the 1080 resolution aspect that makes me highly doubt, especially for what seems to be a much bigger scrolling stage than previous Smash stages have been, that having a large crowd of characters wouldn't instantly cause some hit to the fps which for a fighting game is unacceptable. Mario Kart 8 has more shit going on in its tracks, but it's probably going to be 720 and aliased out of the ass as well.

People say Little Mac hasn't got much apart from his punches but the could use the star mechanic for interesting gameplay. If they could somehow measure certain hits Mac could be awarded stars and thus power up his star punch.

Maybe that could be his Final Smash. Run around with powered up punches. Three hits get you three stars leading up to an instant KO punch. Of course the problem with this is that it would be rather underpowered for a FS since it would require four attacks to KO one person.

I would prefer star punches being used in Little Mac's moveset rather than his Final Smash. Stronger punches based off the timing of the attack could be an exciting mechanic.

Who's that?

He's the artist that drew the Tetra picture in BGBW's avatar. It's a futanari pic. His last K-ON avatar was from a futanari manga.

It leads me to believe, as with the message below

Got some Peach mods you want to share?

that BGBW really enjoys futanari and wants to share it with us on NeoGAF.

There was also the avatar he had before of the dog from animal crossing. Quite the 2D imagery deviant.

looking forward to wednesday and see troubled bat lose the bet :)

They said at E3 that it renders in 1080 and we've had numerous direct feed screenshots at that resolution

All I will say is that I'm surprised people even know where the image in my avatar comes from. I mean I only found it yesterday specifically for a new avatar. Why they were looking for that image is anyone's guess. Though it's quite funny people have only cottoned on recently seeing as this avatar theme of mine dates back to March.

Can someone tell me what is happening on Wednesday? Is it something equivalent to a TGS event? Not getting my hopes until Nintendo actually announce something.
