Nintendo did say they were planning for the update to be between the end of September and the beginning of October.
I'll put the release date between now and Oct 15 (that's still beginning right? lol)
But yeah, its not a summer update anymore, Fall begins Sept 22 apparently

You keep assuming people pointing out how SF inexplicably gets three reps while much bigger series have less is a qualitative comment on the SF franchise as a whole. It isn't. It's just dumb when a series which essentially only has two well liked entries, a remake of one of those games and than three unpopular entries (regardless of what you think of Assault it clearly isn't thought of the same way as the original two are) is getting far more content than bigger franchises do.
It'd be like if F-Zero already had three reps; it already has the same amount of games Star Fox does!

the 3 reps thing is so weird and superficial though, falco came out in brawl was in 2001 and sakurai has wanted wolf since melee, its not like skaurai is taking all this into account like people keep bringing up, its not some kind of far out there thing where starfoxis targeted constantly and no fire emblem is not a much bigger series, one gaming selling beyond expectations does not make it the bigger series, I will say assault is thought of the same way windwaker, twilight princess, and skyward sword are thought of, mostly just a vocal minority screaming that they're bad, where ive seen plenty of people say otherwise.

I was thinking that if we get a Xenoblade stage (and even if we don't get a Xenoblade character we really have to have a Xenoblade stage), they'd pull something of a Mushroomy Kingdom. Basically, you'd have both Day and Night variations of certain tracks like "Gaur Plains" or "Colony 9" - and depending on what plays, the stage itself will change accordingly to the appropriate time of day. There would also be some of the battle themes (and "Engage the Enemy", despite being cutscene music) - during those, you'd get, say, a thunderstorm instead, or perhaps a sunset. So it's not exactly like Mushroomy Kingdom where you get an entirely different stage depending on the music randomly chosen, but that particular aspect of the stage would be tied to the music.
Sonic and Shadow team confirmed, that's the final smash.
