Um exCUSE me Sakurai but CLEARLY the best choice for Smash Bros would be my fav niche character HOWEVER you are clearly INCOMPETENT and
If the Wii U continues to isolate itself in No Man's Island and becomes a famished dreamcastaway I feel that 2014 will definitely happen.

I totally agree with this. I know past smash's have been infamous for getting pushed back again and again but with the very light number of system sellers or Triple A titles, I really can't see them waiting even Til fall 2014 to release smash for. I think it's realistic to assume a spring or summer release because Nintendo knows it needs more big games and fast

Mario Kart 8 is in spring (big seller right there). I see X in the summer, so Smash in the fall.

Yeah I know Mario kart 8 will push systems fast and give them a big boost. But do you seriously see X being a bigger boost to sales than smash? X just doesn't appeal to as wide a range/audience as smash, especially for people who don't already own the system
Who knows what could be the next big thing depending on how Nintendo chooses to market it (or not). Yeah, X probably is not gonna be a million seller. But it might help fill in the RPG niche and maybe others will follow, maybe building a bigger RPG audience on the system over time. /optimistic

True, I would love to see an RPG market emerge as well as gain a lot of support for a plethora of game types. The problem right now is those that don't own a Wii U fit into a few categories -
A: they have written it off as a failure and it would take some big titles to bring then over (X could potentially bring some of these people of it is an AMAZING exclusive)
B: don't understand what it is (this is the casual market who are awaiting some serious marketing and big casual titles to being them - new Wii fit U, a New wii sports sequel, not simply a re-release of the only game they ever played on the original wii)
C: have been waiting for the big nintendo system sellers before picking theirs up. (I fit into this category as I just barely bought the wind waker edition that released today and know there are big titles in the near future for me to finally pick up).
Now although Nintendo could get group A with big exclusive titles/new IP's, it is going to be the established Nintendo brands that will bring groups B and C as well as A

We haven't got a TGS direct yet because they're obviously waiting for Wind Waker HD to release so they can announce the Wii U Zelda.

It was one of the first, IIRC. If they would just list the stages and other stuff like the Dojo, it'd be easier to see how much they've shown.

I seriously doubt there will be a delay on this. I doubt Nintendo will even allow it at this point to slip into 2015.
Yeah, I think we'll see Smash next year anyways. Unless the Wii U does gangbusters this year and they're able to build their install base significantly.

I very much doubt smash would come out in 2015 no matter how good the wiiU is doing, brawl was the exception, not the rule people.
