mmm yeah I got a big ol' wang, come crowd round my man tower ladies mmm hmm

On behalf of other PC gamers, I apologize for this guy. He's been drinking heavily at our last few meetings, trying to 'out' those of us that also own consoles, and his bro hugs of Dennis have lingered just a little too long. So we hacked his Steam account, and kicked him to the curb.

We're so sorry.

I wouldn't because, first, PC doesn't have the games I want. Second, to me, the only gaming relevant to me is console gaming. I'd rather not play games than play them on a PC.

I don't think there is a platform in existence that doesn't have at least a couple of games that interest me. Unless you have very specific tastes, I think there actually would be games on pc you would enjoy.

For your second point, I can understand not wanting to sit at a computer desk, mess around with set up etc. But if the pc had a console like interface and controller in a neat little box under the tv would you still feel the same way?

As someone already mentioned, the point of my post was misinterpreted so drastically that the forum shut down.

I took one for the team, and the bullet was GAF's penis. :)

Oh please do tell us your true intentions. Seemed like a condescending and pathetic attempt at downplaying the power debate between consoles (regardless of your made-up, tongue-in-cheek story). That's as effective as telling someone arguing between a Vita and a 3DS that "if you really cared about which one was more powerful, you should just get a home console! lol"

It's a stupid and irrelevant comment to the discussion at hand. The fact that you felt a need to dedicate an entire thread to that sentiment is baffling, and ultimately why you were junior'd. I don't understand how you still don't get this, but I guess if these things were clear to you, you would still have your thread making abilities.

His laptop has 64GB of RAM and one or maybe two titans. Also, an Intel Core thingimabobbins.

laptop is a subjective term. it all depends on the lap in question. when you're used to having a dick as big as three titans, what's a full tower PC case and 27" monitor on top of that extra?

hell, it doubles as a TV tray and has the added benefit of ensuring you stop getting your junk pestered by babes.

You already can play like this. Most PCs have HDMI ports now, and steam has an alt. interface that's designed to work with controllers.

Maybe Kinect will do something that makes the Xbone a differentiated experience. Who knows. But for all the people who "care" about performance, and cite it as a reason to buy one console over another, what the hell is stopping you from just building a better PC two years ago?

Timed exclusives? Please.

I have seen the top of the mountain, and it is good.

Because I find most PC games boring as hell.

OP makes the rest of us PC gamers look bad.

I swear guys, we're not all like this. This guy didn't even buy his own rig, therefore he's just a bandwagoner.

Shows what I know. I didn't even think it was plausible to put that much RAM into a computer yet when average ones tap out a lot lower.

But yes, horrible, bs, blah blah, etc. Go home you're drunk, master race...I play what I play what I play, yo.

Of course, I play a lot of multi-platforms so the games aren't completely the issue. The gaming experience that I want is that of a console. I stopped gaming for many years when I went into PC gaming because I wasn't into the experience.

I don't have the money or time to build a gaming PC. Installing drivers and all that shit, no thanks, would rather stay on the inferior console race or whatever.

What is it with some people not realizing that they're very well off? Nothing wrong with having a 3000$ computer, but no major developer will ever consider you their most important market. Why? Becase there are probably less than 1 million of you out there.

I find it absolutely appaling that people are taking this seriously enough to post (seemingly) serious reactions, listing Sony exclusives and whatnot.

What the fuck, people? Don't you know a joke when you see one?

I've written "lol" before, but it's always a lie. First time it's ever been true.

Cheers, all.

It's a beautiful OP reminds me of the rants of an extremely stoned person.

For the person that stumbles on this thread in 2016 and laughs at the then basic spec of this PC, just want to say hi from 2013. Also, is 2016 really that futuristic? Can cars fly?

The point isn't specifically Uncharted and Halo. The point is that there are exclusive games on consoles, and people buy hardware to play games they want.
Oh yeah? Going by this:
Can it play:

The Last of Us
Beyond
inFamous
Ratchet & Clank (non-PS2/PSP titles)
Uncharted
Killzone (non PS2/PSP titles)
Kingdom Hearts 3
Heavy Rain
Final Fantasy XIII... onwards
God of War

Then I don't care.
People build these pretty little worlds where they buy hardware they want to buy games they want to like to buy hardware they want to buy buy buy and perhaps play some. I mean, what a surprise that that specific game list is a dealbreaker!

Care to enlighten us on his true intention?
With the premise that both PS4 and XB1 are "tortoises", he was asking what people do to get excited about them and what's so great about the 50% superiority. What do these consoles do to compete agaist/differentiate from PC? Kinect he mentioned.
...And sharing his positive experience of some high tech. That's not bragging.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. I know a few people who feel a similar way.

Some day soon the streams will cross though because consoles are becoming more pc like and pc use/maintenance is becoming more user friendly. Hell, the only place you can get a pure gaming console these days is probably nintendo, and even that isn't strictly true with the Wii u.

My mind cannot even begin to decipher these sentences.
