Yep. Actually Marius model do not even has Level of Detail now, so he always looks like in this cutscenes.

Seems to be the case for most of the characters outside of Marius, but the cloth physics as a whole in the game aren't as refined as they should be taking into account the resolution at which it renders.

Being that the systems haven't been released yet visuals and rumors are all we have to go on. Once they are released and we start playing games hopefully that changes.
 
i didn't like the dude talking. kinda fucked up the trailer for me.

otherwise stunning graphics. i wonder if this is a buy or a rental. i will wait for reviews. but this is a very beautiful game. once of the best i have seen so far.

There isn't much gameplay footage of this game and many people (including me) are disappointed by what little gameplay there is because it seems simplistic, so visuals are all we have to go on.

I agree. At first I thought the narrator was a gamespot writer describing the video. The voice wasn't epic enough for the footage shown.
 
I just realized that this makes my decision on what games to cut on day one FREAKING DIFFICULT!@#@!

I've decided to cut my massive pre-order down to 2. Right now it's Killer Instinct and Forza 5. However....I want Dead Rising 3 and Ryse.

Ugh.....I can't make up my mind on which 2 to get.....I may just have to buy all 4.
 
It looks like they finally fixed the lifeless eyes. The only problem now is the janky gameplay animations and constant slow motion. It seems like it's missing frames.

KI is only 20 bucks are should be in addition to your two games.
 
I've seen at least 3 different shields that Marius carries so far. Hopefully that means we can change our shields and weapons in the story.

Though there is validity here you just pretended like you have some kind of monopoly on fun and what it means. There are AMAZING games recently from huge developers that have a ton of QTE's and are great, fun, amazing experiences. Then again since the execution is the only QTE in the battles it actually doesn't 100% apply. If that argument held you could say that Batman was not or could not be considered fun.

Yea, you're right, there are some great games that utilize QTEs out there. I didn't really mean to make that my focus point. It was really about the visuals. I've been reading around that the gameplay is apparently shit for this game, however, I can't really say if it is or isn't because I haven't tried the game out myself. But I wouldn't have posted anything if comments here were more like "wow, looks amazing, I hope the gameplay is awesome too." If we turn into consumers that will buy a game just because it's pretty, but gameplay is subpar, then we'll send the wrong message to developers. Just my two cents.
 
As with all games I have any interest in buying, I refuse to look at any story footage.

For now I just want to know if the footage shown looks "screw your 900p argument" pretty?

I know it's hard first day newest and etc but you don't have to get them all day one save em for decemember when it's going to be dry on new releases.
 
Yeah it is obviously all real time. They are doing in-engine cutscenes, just like they are in the Order I think (which look even more impressive to me). Only this and KZ look trully next gen to me at launch.

Facial expressions are nice, though they look pretty static on the fat guy.
 
I find this game to be graphically gorgeous, as is the general consensus. It certainly seems like a system showcase. However, what is most important in the end, to me, is how well does it play. Having little confidence in CryTek's ability to make a timeless or legendary game (imo), outside of graphical prowess, I am cautiously optimistic.

I'll be damned if I can't stop watching those pretty graphics, though!
 
Looks great but I'm just not feeling this game at all.

I don't know it is was the horrendous E3 demo or the fact it used to be a Kinect game and is thought to be QTE heavy but there's something not clicking for me.

Eh. Perhaps the story could be the problem. It just seems so insipid. Dead family? Really? Given the rich history of the Roman empire they couldn't find a more compelling story line than that?

"Push A to make Protagonist relatable".

Still others seem to like it so it's clearly finding an audience.

Just WOWWWW. First game to make me say now that's next gen shit. I am a huge Gladiator fan, the movie. I honestly was not getting this game, now it is mine day 1. I applaud the visuals and only hope the story and gameplay are decent.
